I think Gano should have to pay us more then that to stay on the Redskins...

The ERFA tender is for vet minimum for a player with two seasons under their belt.

Does anyone know more about the Scott signing? That struck me as a little odd since he is a guy that has been on and off the active roster. Is it depth in case of losing or in preparation of letting Carriker leave?

If Carriker leaves, if Scotts our next man up, we're going to have a HUGE fall off. We have to bring back Carriker & Fletch. Those are my two biggest concerns right now.

Fletch, I'm certain, will get done. I worry about Carriker. He was quietly efficient, and the return of Jenkins can only help him... Carriker is a perfect fit for Haslett's scheme...

Keep in mind, if the intent is to get RGIII, the cost will be the ability to replace FA losses via the draft... If we must replace key D players, we may loose... or severely limit... our ability to go after the #2 pick.

Totally agree about Carricker. We have to re-sign this guy. He is very good in our defense.

Two words. Jarvis Jenkins.

Which is better... Jarvis Jenkins with Carriker... or Jarvis Jenkins with Scott?

That's the issue, Chris...

Coach has said, one of the main reasons for last seasons failure, was the lack of depth. (In his eyes at least).

Why would they drag their feet on getting Fletch and Carriker re-signed?

Jenkins is a rookie coming off of a pretty serious injury. Granted, I think the guy is gonna blow up this year but, Its still an uncertainty.

If you have Carriker in the rotation on D-line, it keeps all of them fresh, with little to no drop off in talent.

I would get these 2 signed without ever sniffing the free-agent market. I mean maybe their agents are advising otherwise but, the players have both stated they want to be a Redskin next year.

It's possible both want to at least test the market to see what they might get elsewhere, and if they want to be Redskins next year then I'm sure they'll give the team a chance to match.
