Finally a Wolfpacker on the Skins

Post by frankcal20 »

#Redskins agreed to a contract with OL Sean Locklear formerly of Seattle.
Thank God!!! Tired of all those Tarholes showing up on the roster. Finally not anymore. Wouldn't hate the idea of getting Jerrico Cotchery (WR) from the Jets who was cut yesterday.

Did they release someone to make room? Thought we already had 90 signed

They have three on the PUP so they can sign three w/o releasing anyone.

Redskins Sign OT Sean Locklear
Posted on August 5, 2011 at 04:39 PM. (0) August 5, 2011

The Redskins have signed OT Sean Locklear. He has played his last six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He is a tackle capable of playing on both the left and right side of the line. He also played guard in college, showing his versatility.

He was the Seahawks starting right tackle last season and has started 78 of the 97 games he has played. He looks to be the back-up behind Trent Williams on the left side and Jammal Brown on the right side.

Depth at tackle, good signing.
Raiola I didn't quite get, but this sounds like a solid, if unremarkable, back up, (potentially)

He's been a tackle for years, but entered the league as a guard. Some think he could play LG and move Kory to C. Can't wait to see where he gets reps in practice.

Wolfpack is terrible. Glad we got another lineman though.

Any chance Heyer stays? He can play both tackles and looked very good at guard against Titans last year.

Heyer signed with Oakland. Wasn't a great fit for the ZBS.

Kory is gutsy, but better suited for a back C/G role.

Even though I had never heard of this guy four hours ago, after doing some reading I very much like this signing.

We're not terrible. We finished 2nd in the ACC and beat WV in our bowl game last year. Not to mention, we'll be even better this year. We're a team on the up, not down like a lot of the traditional front runners in the ACC.

Sorry to be a jerk, but this is an example of a terrible thread title. It doesn't offer someone reading on the main board much of a clue about what the thread is about.

I'd heard Locklear's name and vaguely remembered him as Seattle's right tackle in the Super Bowl a few years ago. He only moved to tackle when Porkchop Womack was injured during his rookie year though, I really think this is a possible starter at LG
in the making.

Thank the gods! Finally some depth at LT and the OL In general! This guy could push CL at LG or just be a very valuable first off the bench sub.

I hear Capers is struggling and the guy we drafters in the 7th round at OG this year has already pushed him down to third or forth on the depth chart at RT.

It's nothing personal, and the reason it's a bad thread title has nothing to do with me. The thread title is supposed to give readers in the main board some idea of what the thread is about. That's why we have so many duplicate threads out there. Someone hearing about the Locklear signing may have wanted to post the article on the main board but would have had no idea there was already a thread covering it. That's what you should consider when starting new threads. Not me, My 2 cents
