He's also under a lot of pressure right now to make the team. For everyone talking about him being fragile and tiny, easy to break and get hurt.... has it happened?

His explosiveness cannot be denied. He will make this team and be a game changer on special teams this year.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

So, even if he catches the winning TD against Dallas, to put us into the SB, you wouldn't want to see him play? We all understand he's short, thin, fumbled twice, and muffed a punt during the preseason, but how can you say you don't want to see him play on offense? The guy is electricity in a bottle, and I can't wait to see what he can do to help our team.

No need to respond with how you can wait to see what he can do to hurt our team, I beat you to it.

His point was ex-ante and your reply is ex-post, so it's not apples to apples

You can correct a flaw like that. Look at what they did for Tiki Barber in NY.

I'm glad somebody said it!

You can't teach speed, you either have it or don't. Sure, with practice you can shave a few tenths of a second, but you'll never be as fast as raw talent.

Ball control can be taught, strength can be improved, but speed is a more natural commodity than earned attribute.

Hopefully this kid can learn because if he stops fumbling he's gonna be a monster.

I'm an MBA. We're sort of like lawyers except we aren't self centered, scum sucking vermin liars who'd sell out their own mother for a quick buck.

Hmm...maybe we aren't like lawyers...

Did you hear about guy who went up to a woman in a bar and said, "I'd screw you any time, any where, any way."

She replied, "Really? I work for Mitchell, Smith and Wilson. What law firm do you work for?"

Way too many muffs on ST and there were a few passes that a typical height receiver would have caught that he couldn't get ahold of. If he does stick around, I hope I never see him on offense. He can't block and him going up is a normal receiver catching in stride.

VetSkinsFan, your points are well taken, the name Anthony Alridge keeps popping in my head because he had such an upside with speed, but keep fumbling the ball; however, there is one sure play that they ran to banks that he never fumbled and always got good yards - that quick pass to him while he was on the line of scrimmage. If there is one play the Shanahans can ustilize his speed, they no doubt, we have plenty of others. If his fumbles continue during the season, you can bet he will be gone. The upside posibilities for Banks are too great to let him go now. Perhaps, he should be keep inactive until he matures a bit and gets over his jitters.

Yeah, as the season goes on those WR bubble screens get less and less effective. typically. And if he's out there, he's a liability in run-blocking.

I've been wrong before and I'll most likely be wrong in the future. I can't help that 3 muffs in 4 partial games bothers me for someone who can't contribute much on the offense.

I like the idea of Banks...the concept. His type of player (maybe not him personally...time will tell...but the thought of what he COULD bring to the team), is a total game changer (both ways, of course).

I remember my first trip to Yankee Stadium when I was a wee lad, and watching Reggie strike out four times. It sucked that he struck out, but man, when he came to the plate, what a feeling! One swing of the bat (catch of the punt?) and the game could go your way. Your CNS buzzed with the excitement!

As far as Banks goes, you can teach a guy to hold onto the ball, but you can't teach speed.

Man, I'm getting pumped for this weekend!

I guess I'm an idiot then! Hey, here's something funny for you. ATX, do you remember when I told you that Haynesworth would end up being a terrible pick up for us and wasn't worth the money. You said I was an idiot then too! So far, you are "0"fer on picking players to be on the squad!

You joined THN last month. How could you have told ATX we shouldn't sign Haynesworth?

ATX and I have been friends for 10 years! We constantly debate the skins. He's who told me about this site.
