We currently have 3 TE's. 2 catchers, 1 blocker.

This guy may be competing with Mike Sellers and according to his stats apparently has better hands. 38 catches, 12 TD's last year. Def sounds like he could be our Hback.

True, but how many of these guys can you get onto the field? Mike Sellers and Eddie Williams are already on the roster. I just don't get it, but I'll be patient. I can't imagine that they would do something as wasteful as this appears at first glance.

I agree that it's puzzling but why throw a fit about something we don't even fully understand yet. Makes no sense to me.

Sam Young from ND just went to Dallas. Was hoping he'd end up here.

Ah ok... Interesting.

If he is converted to FB, I may actually like this pick. From his highlights he is a great blocker.

Found a highlight reel of the guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LARorin9Aos

Looks like a good receiver and blocker. If he's going to replace Sellers it makes a lot more sense.

Highlight video. I'm impressed with his blocking. I like him. Seems like they went and got a guy that they liked.

LeFevour would have been a much better pick. We could've had this guy as an undrafted FA.

BPA, fills the need we have because Sellers only acts like a big guy who can block

- I look at this video and I see a special teams ace.
- I see a guy that when he get's on the field, he's blocking for our players, a huge area of lack in recent years.
- The guy is just mauling defensive linemen like children in the video. I'd rather have him in a short yard situation than either Cooley or Davis.

One thing is for certain, Cooley and Davis cannot block. We have some other guys that can, maybe they like him better than them.

I'm impressed by selecting the best pick possible in Trent Williams. I'm more impressed because the last two picks weren't anywhere near Kiper/Maycock's best available and weren't big names we've heard.

He is pretty nasty. The initial shock has worn off. I still want to see who he replaces though.

Look at all the places he's lining up!!

TE
H-back
WR

This dude is a swiss army knife. He could be the 6th "WR". We have no idea of what this offense is going to be, we might need 4 TE's.

I love this pick. I'm sorry.

Davis and Cooley don't really block.

Can he play tackle?

Thanks CLL.. cause if you didn't ask if we're watching the highlights, I never would have. I came here to ask you guys "WTF???" but I've watched the highlights and I reaaaaally like what I've seen. Did you all see how far he blocked those guys? Easily like 5 feet from the initial contact, dude is a stud. Good pick, I'm glad we got him and like someone said earlier, "Sellars only looks like he could block".. this guy right here seems to be the truth.

I'm sold and I'm on board... bye Yoder, thanks dude.

We signed that P.O.S. from the Chiefs, Sean Ryan or whatever

I agree we don't need a blocking TE, but there is no reason to be calling a Redskins player a P.O.S. Maybe if he beats on women or something, but as far as I know Sean Ryan is a hard working blue-collar guy that does some of the dirty work better than other players.

Holy cow! I saw him literally pop two helmets off guys heads while blocking them! He decleated numerous guys. D-Mo is nasty! I like it. CLL was right, you have to watch the video.

Thats who I wanted at that spot too, but the more I think about this pick I like it especially if he is replacing Sellers.
