It's not like this is the first time people...
Aside from that, he was hobbled on the previously played and prolly should have taken himself out of the game for a series...
Campbell came through in the clutch numerous times during the course of the game-- it was pressure packed from beginning to end. It was, in fact, nerve wracking. Focus on the interception is missplaced. It was simply a bad play amid many good ones-- Brees also had bad plays. To say he choked is absurd. It's also absurb not to note that he was on the money and starting a good drive in overtime when Seller's ruined it with a fumble.
Some of these postings are so off-base as to be comic. Even as a guy who's never liked Campbell as a player, I'm offended. He's had a fairly decent year, by any reasonable standard-- both Brady and Manning would have lost big time with this joke of an offense. No one to throw to most of the year. Terrible offensive line. A star running back mailing in his performance. The worse playcalling in Redskin history. A coaching staff
burying its young talent.
He was tremendously effective last Sunday because he was protected by an Oline led by two unlikely characters--Jones and Williams. Apparently.
he can play when protected, which I'm sure the league has noticed. Too bad the posters on this board have failed to notice the obvious. What we who pay attention have learned is almost all positive (from three of the last four games): we don't have to spend a first round pick on a QB, freeing us to grab Okung; and with Williams and Jones already aboard, have a pretty good shot at having a decent OL next year.
I, too, feel badly about the loss, but I am overjoyed by what looks like a light at the end of a tunnel. I include in my joy the recent play of Devin Thomas, whom I thought would be a bust, and Fred Davis, both of whom now look like future stars.
