Would you have benched Jason Campbell in the Bucs game?

Nope, I would not have benched him.
I also was never a fan of drafting him. I mean, with two 1st round RBs on your college team, how good a QB do you have to be to look good?
JC desperately needs CP to get rolling, who desperately needs the O-line to start blocking... it's a domino effect out there, but the buck stops with JC and Zorn.

Better?

Certainly not more accurate.
Certainly not a faster release.
Certainly not spotting open receivers.
Certainly not an inspirational leader.
Certainly not acknowledging accountability for the part of the situation that lies on his shoulders.
Certainly not more secure in terms of turn overs.
He scored -one- TD with a pass to Moss. Yep! He is definitely getting better.

I like your attitude HERO. Seriously, not may see this situation as more than hopeless.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Yeah but shes way hotter then JC.
Even though she was the NFL bycicle for a while and her biggest claim to fame is a grainy home video, she is hotter than JC, but that is only because he is a dude and I don't swing that way.

The "yes" voters are no better fans then Danny is an owner. The objective should be winning, not ego. Objectivity, not shallow emotional gratification. Screwing JC, Zorn, Snyder, Cerrato, whoever isn't what a "fan" does. At least not a good one. And benching JC now is folding for shallow, emotional gratification.
Hail to the Redskins!

It is kind of funny to me how many Monday Morning Coaches would admit to saying yes even though we won the game which can so obviously be attributed to JC pulling it together in the 2nd half.
I am not 100% sure about JC as a quality QB. I don't personally think he is THE problem on offense though I respect the Carr example because I too thought it must be the O-Line and was pretty surprised how terrible Carr was off the bench in Carolina.... Speaking of a team NOT benching their QB despite terrible performances.....
I guess at the end of the day, I admit I probably do NOT know what is best for my team which may be why I am not a coach
I am sure glad we won!

I don't think winning the game can simply be attributed to JC pulling it together in the second half. Portis, Moss,

Yes he's been awful...why do I think he's about to have his best game of the year??

OK, there was the MNF game at Dallas, which was salted by Terrance Newman's Pick 6.
Well I have Sunday Ticket and Super Fan (and just about anything else Directv sells)........
Delhomme has 7 picks in 3 games PLUS 2 lost fumbles.
If looking for Worse Than's makes you feel any better, he's a great start!
BUT BETTER would be JaAweful Russel who has 506 yards TOTAL, ON THE YEAR! His completion percentage is under 40. It was UNDER 30% in their WIN against KC.
I don't know if that puts anything in perspective or not but............

MY FINAL VERDICT ON CAMPBELL: Had the Skins not MARKETED him as the second coming of Doug Williams, he would have been benched LONG ago.
I would have benched him in the Giants game, to be honest. For all we heard about the extra work he put in through the Spring and Summer, it has paid few dividends.

What a difference two more losses against winless teams makes since we were 2-2 and I said this. We're in garbage time now. As for starting TC I say WTF. I'd never have thought I'd throw in the towel after 6 games on a season, but I've never seen anyone with playoff aspirations play five straight winless teams before and go 2-3. Turn out the lights, the parties over.
I'm sorry for those of you who can't get any enjoyment now out of the games though. I DVR'd the game and was at my country club working out and I accidentally saw the final score on the TV before watching any of the game. Doh, I saw the score. Doh, we lost to the bleeping Chiefs. What did I do? Go home and watch the whole game. Sure I want to win, but I love the experience of games and following the Redskins and even if it's dissecting yet another pathetic loss I'd never miss a minute of it. And not just because I shell out like $25 a game to watch every game on HD TV.
And RiC, I'm not reveling in the loss and saying "I told you so" to anyone. So don't get it all you want, this contradicts nothing I've said. And I wasn't wrong in the beginning. Throwing in the towel at 2-2 would have made no sense.

Wow, I never saw anyone do that. Where did they do this? It was well kept secret marketing.

Um, he had to ask permission to wear the number 17, and, while, technically, not MARKETED as Doug v. 2.0, the similarities (black QB, big arm, working in the Gibbs offense, etc.) built up this sense of hope that we finally had a franchise QB, when, in reality, he was more Pat Ramsey than Doug Williams.

So your argument is that he's black and they said he was our starter so any reasonable person would take that they're plugging him as Doug Williams?

No argument, just a statement of fact. The hype machine in Ashburn always builds up individual players to the point where they are untouchable, i.e. Portis, Campbell, D. Hall, Haynesworth.
Some of these cats are paid handsomely and thereby hold the upper hand in disputes with their coaches. Others are just built up so high with hyoe and expectation, that it seems inconceivable for them to fall or fail.
I believe JC is a victim of the latter. So much was built up around him, whether you choose to believe the D. Williams comparison or not, and some much expectations were heaved on his big arm and weak psyche, that a change was not made sooner, when it should have been.
THAT is my argument.
No one on this team should be untouchable. If a free agent rookie is better than our starter, play the man. Screw your (the Redskins') hype machine. We need a winning team in DC.
Once we have that, we can THEN start building a championship team. /rant
