If we replace Campbell next season it will probably have to be via the draft , so to get a good QB we will need to suck this season (have made a good start on this already) or trade up to get one. But even with a good QB will the OL which will be another year older, be able to cope?
Another opinion without anything to back it. JC personally acounted for 361
yards today, against 42 for the OL in rushing mode. We need to spend all of our draft picks on OL next year. It's that desperate.
You're personally out of your mind. Do you even watch the games or just check the box score?
Campbell doesn't personally account for anything other than a losing record. My dead grandmother could have thrown that ball to Moss ... and in the end, a bunch of yards padding his personal stats that rarely result in actual points on the scoreboard.
In between, the Redskins were 2 out of 10 on third downs. That's PATHETIC, and it also shows how many failed possessions JC personally engineered. Two fumbles that Campbell retrieved himself, and a couple of int's that were dropped. Totally shut out in the first half, and the Moss score was a busted coverage ... nobody within shouting distance of him. Certainly not what I would call a spectacular day by the QB .... but I'll grant you, any pass Campbell throws that winds up in the end zone is spectacularly rare and noteworthy. And he had 2 today which is 2 more than last week.
No, the defense didn't shut them out. And knowing that the offense is only capable of scoring 10 to 14 points, the defense didn't do enough to win this one.
And ... since you are so enamored with stats ... that running game of the Lions that our sucky defense couldn't stop averaged 4.3 yards. The crappy running game of the Redskins averaged 4.6. They just failed to run more than 14 plays ... preferring to let Jason throw his 5 yard passes all day that don't amount to anything but statistics the apologists can cling to.
