We'll be fine if the OL lasts... but that's always been the bottom line, and the game last night simply does not address that situation.

Really? You must have forgotten that we have the worst QB in the History of the World.![]()
Have to make sure Norv stays out of the building against the Giants. Can't have those penalties.

not so quick there, my friend - the pats did not make the playoffs last year as I recall and I'm almost certain their defense overall was about #10 and the defense against the run (which is basically what we were up against) was 15 or 16AND I don't think they even played Seymour

This may seem slightly off topic, but I need to bring it up. Did anyone watch post-game live on comcast? Greg Blache is a complete ass to the media. Ive never seen a more abrasive, rude, unprofessional interview by a coach. I think Zorn or "The Dan" needs to explain to him that his profession exists only because of the fans, and the fans want these questions answered. The media are simply doing their jobs, nuff said. What a moron

I saw it and I thought it was pretty funny. I actually like Blache's no-nonsense, no-BS demeanor. Did he get a little annoyed? Sure... but near the beginning of his answer, he clearly winked at Kelly Johnson, so I think he was playing around a bit, at least initially.
You have to remember, these guys get blasted by the media with ignorant questions daily, and as Blache says, it's always the same old stupid questions. And let's be honest, they don't come any more anal than CSN's Trevor Matich. There was nothing wrong with his question and if you asked Greg after the interview, he'd acknowledge the media is just doing their job. But if we'd have to face the media barrage on a daily basis like these coaches do, I'm sure we'd lose our patience now and again too. How many coaches can you think of that got annoyed in a post game interview? Many. It happens.
For those that missed it, Blache's interview can be seen here.

Seymour did play the entire first halfand as stated before by many at this site, the defensive ratings are not alway indicative of how well your defense plays. A lot of the rankings are based on yards given up per game and several factors can effect the yardage your defense yeilds (prevent defense, offense scores quickly, etc). The past few years New England has had a tough defense, and though I am quick to play the pessimistic role, I am encouraged by our performance against a SOLID defense like New England. Also to mention that New England didn't make the playoffs last year is irrelevant considering Brady was out all last year.
