I've written a lot of content herohamo on economics, the Fair Tax, the minimum wage (I'm about to start another on that with the recent increase). The issue I'm having is that liberalism has destroyed liberty in this country and the majority of American people have given up. When you say I'm angry at Obama, I was hoping at some point you would read my sig which would have clarified where my "anger" is directed.

I know you like to put things in terms of Presidents "succeeding" or failing. But you and I see that question fundamentally differently. You see the American government in perspective to succeeding or failing against other governments (diplomacy, military, ...). I see the American government doing well in the International arenas as irrelevant when they are enslaving their own people. I have no interest in my slave master defeating the French slave masters. I want a Free American people to "win."

The debate between liberals and me is fundamentally different because while they and I agree they should be able to make their own choices, they are taking away my freedom to make my own. I have no objection to their personal values in their own lives. I object to their personal values in mine. Something I don't propose to do to them.

If Obama fails on some his tasks then the Country just may be better off and vice versa. Example: If he succeeds with his healthcare "reform" then the Country may be worse off than if he doesn't achieve his goal. I do not affiliate with any party and I have to struggle to keep that status as people most people believe that you have to be associated with a major political party. Example: If someone asks if I am a republican and I say no they automatically assume I am a democrat. I believe in Independent thinking and there aren't a lot of independent thinkers in DC; they are mostly sheep that are lead by a few shepherds.

This is exactly right cappster. Like the famous Limbaugh quote. He clearly says in the quote what you are that Obama wants to make this government socialist and in that endeavor he wants the President to fail. It was constantly misquoted by the liberals and their military wing, the "mainstream" media and just twisted with the fabrication that means he wants the country to fail.

I tend not to jump into that heavily for three reasons, though I will on occasion.

1) In fairness the liberals do believe that the country not being socialist is "failure"

2) Rush is entertaining and does it to entertain, but he brings it on himself. He says things like that specifically to draw the ire of the left. Anyway, not my job to spend my time defending him

3) The liberals will believe what they want to believe and say what they want to say despite the facts as they always do. They are mob rule out to destroy their enemies. They are in search of a one party system. They are communists. You can't argue with that. But you can irk them...

But once again, the media not only doesn't belie the lies of the Left but repeats them. There is no doubt who's wenches they are.

TincoSkin wrote:you are all missing the point. all politics aside, whether you believe the guy or not, he is a powerful speaker. he moves people. he is a great orator.

Main Entry: or·a·tor
Pronunciation: \ˈȯr-ə-tər, ˈär-\
Function: noun
Date: 15th century
1 : one who delivers an oration
2 : one distinguished for skill and power as a public speaker

I think you have missed the point. Having the ability to speak is nothing without having substance behind what you are saying. A lot of things sound good until you look behind the oral curtain and get to the root of the topic.
