I third that opinion - whoever shows the most at camp...

They both did better than most think considering the circumstances.

my money is on bowen. simply because of the contract thing. bowen is here another 4 years, iffy just 1. williams will begin to build chemistry in the secondary with the guys who will most likley be here a while (taylor and bowen) it's good to have a backup of iffy's calibur, but unless bowen totally stinks it up in camp, i don't see iffy getting the nod. of course this is all speculation, just my My 2 cents

Just keep in mind one thing though - Iffy can be a good third safety to come in like Williams likes - he is by far better than Terrell/Franz/Lott

we are stacked in the secondary. nickle and dime packages will probably be our strengths. i just wish the same could be said for the line in the 4-3

I could totally see a rotation of Iffy and Bowen depending on the defensive scheme, and the players they're covering. It makes a lot of sense to mix it up and confuse offenses. These guys are both capable, and will be much improved under Greg Williams.
oops....sorry!

the line helps the secondary to shine - you don't use the secondary to help the line to shine cause you end up with what we did last year.

We had safeties having to play run support all the time and corners with their heads on a swivel also to see if a back had gotten past the other 9 players.

The line needs to be strengthened so as to stop the run and put pressure on the QB to help the secondary not have to cover as long.

Why then is there such a thing as a coverage sack? I think that excellent coverage can contribute to a pass rush.

I agree on stopping the run and hopefully our DL can adequately do so.....but I was referring to the lack of a pass rush.

remember Tx... even with Champ in the secondary last year - the QB danced in the pocket and had way too much time to throw.

Without anyone to push the pocket from the inside or out, not to mention not even thinking of stopping a runner going past them, the coverage sacks don't exist.

Seriously, when Edwards blitzed, it got sacks - usually by a lineman who didn't get doubled up on.

Hopefully the LB can help the line to shine :D

If the front seven are coached better the back 4 will do better... I am with alla y'all... I pray they all do better

I also heard analyst say that having a strong secondary allows the front four to blitz and be more aggressive. I can't remember who said it but they were talking about the Eagles. They said the Eagles may not be able to be blitz happy and aggressive on the line like they use to be because they lost both of their top corners.

8) Only the STRONG survives! There are Ohalete supporters, there are Bowen supporters. In the end, it's whats best for the Washington Redskins. It shouldn't be decided with the heart. 8)
