day 2 really makes no sense, one pick on the o line would be ok, but both, we have greater needs then that. I understand they were problay the best players left on the redskins boards but we badly need dline help

I would give us a B. We filled two needs. We got two starters. If we would have picked 2 D lineman instead of 2 o lineman it would have been an A.
So Day 1 A+
Day 2 D
So Day 1 A+
Day 2 D

Day 1, B+
We got our need picks, but one more pick, especially D-Line would bump it on to an A.
Day 2, D
One O-linemen is fine, two is too much.
Overall, We've taken care of our needs, but the d-line is a little suspect, so I think the coaches are hoping for June 1 cuts. May I add, I saw next year's prospects. Next year is not going to be a great year for prospects. This year was a gold mine, but if we go to the playoffs, who's going to be available?

I'm sure that we will be graded pretty low by NFL analysts, but I really don't think we did all that badly. Getting the TE/H-Back spot locked up was key; and I actually don't think our D-line is in as bad shape as most would say it is. Staying put and grabbing Taylor might not get chalked up to skill per se, but we can still get some credit for making that solid decision. Not our best year by any stretch of the imagination, yet certainly not our worst.

1st Day- A+ -Taylor was the Right pick!
2nd Day- Made no sense (D-) Why did we take offensive lineman when our O-line is set. When should have taken D-line! NCHog43-Did you get my message about a custom avator?

"SUCK FOR LUCK"
i think day 1 was an A- i really like both of these picks
day 2 on the other hand is a bit bewildering...id give it a D+
just because i was exspecting some D-line help i think we could have brought these 2 in with undrafted free agents..but i think that both these kids have some potential under the right system(ours) there both blue collar guys..and Jim Molinaro is a Pa Native so he cant be all that bad
i guess there looking to bring in some piglets and raise them to be hoggs :@)

Sean Taylor is the best player in the draft. We got one of the top veteran QBs in the NFL with our third round pick. The TE addresses a need, and the two tackles are for Bugel to mentor.
VERY GOOD INSIGHT -
BEST PLAYER IN DRAFT
TOP VETERAN QB
H-BACK/TE THAT FITS NEED
2 - OT FOR BUGEL TO MENTOR
HOW CAN WE COMPLAIN ABOUT THESE RESULTS???

I'd say a B Would have liked to have traded down and gotten two players. Hard to argue with the Taylor pick. I didn't like giving up a #2 with Champ!
ey makes it a solid B! Not sure what's up with picking two tackles?? Is Chris moving inside to G??

I agree that two O-linemen seems a bit wierd given our situation, but then again, this is one of those positions that its hard to have too many good ones. If just one of these two becomes a good reliable backup than maybe its worth it.
Look, this is the first draft in forever that a D-lineman wasn't in the first 10 picks. The choices were sparse. Both O-lineman have upsides. My guess is that when looking at 5th-6th round picks, if one out of two makes the team then you are doing OK. Last year, when our starters were out, our line sucked big time. We need at least 3 decent backups I think. Last year we only had one rook who while good, made lots of mistakes.

What was rong with day 2? we dont realy need Dline guyz I dont know why you all think that so much. We are good on Dline and we are good on the Oline we had good people on the Oline but now we have good backups just in case one of the starters gets hurt we will not have a hole to fill. I say the to Oline guyz we picked up was a smart move.
IMO drafting Tackles makes sense when you consider the scope of all the off-season activity to date.
Here is a list of free agent signees and re-signed players . . . of course this list is going to grow tomorrow when the team brings in the undrafted free agents, a few of whom are sure to make the roster.
The re-buidling was a little light on O-Line activity until we added these guys. With Fiore gone and Moore not likely to make the opening season roster, these guys will provide depth and go a long way to easing the burden on our starters during practice.

I don't understand how people can be so critical of the second day of our draft. On the second day you are looking for guys that MIGHT be able to contribute next year, if ever. We got two solid players. Sorry to shout but THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO ADDRESS D-LINE DEFICIENCIES ON THE SECOND DAY! I congradulate the Redskins on making two good draft picks today. They got who they thought were the best players rather than trying to fill needs with players who may never do anything. You are not going to build next year's D-Line with 5th and 6th rounders.
By the way, I give them an A. In Taylor they got one of the three studs in the draft (Gallery and Winslow clearly the other two -- I think Taylor is the best of the three though) AND filled a major need. It is not often you can do that.
ey is a great pick and the two O-lineman are big and raw. Give them some great coaching and who knows what will happen.

If I may interject my
, I think this gets back to us as the fans putting too much pressure on Gibbs & staff to rise up too quickly. We simply can't rebuild a Gibbs like team in one year. So, why try to spread thin picks all over. It looks to me like he solidified 3 positions that he was concerned with. I would be willing to bet that the FO has something up their sleave for June, but I can't promise that it's gonna be something spectacular...possibly a couple DE/DT that's decent, but coachable. Then I look for us to draft some DL next year. Can't do it all in one year...especially when half our draft this year was dismantled for key player aquisitions.
