Look it all depends on his frame. I'm 6'4" with a large frame. I'm 280 right now and over my ideal weight. My ideal weight is about 235. At that I'm kind of skinny. At 220 I'm too thin. And I don't have WR legs, which have to add 10 pounds each easy.

P Burres with the Giants is only listed 6 pounds lighter than Mix. I think Mix can drop 6 pounds before training camp ends.

Cooley is 2-3 inches shorter than Mix and is listed anywhere from 249 - 265. If Cooley was MIx's height and had the same built that he has right now, Cooley would have to be between 260 - 275. Those extra couple of inches add a lot of weight. So Mix is doesn't have a TE build.

I would be concerned for his health if he only weighed 220 - 225. 245 may be a little heavy, but I'm sure he could drop 10 pounds (if he needs to) before the season starts.

He needs to loose that weight if he is going to compete against Thomas and Kelly. When we first signed Mix I had heard rumors he was slow, even moreso now that he added more weight. I don't think it would be hard for Thomas or Kelly steel his spot in Camp, if Mix looks slow.

Hmm, They should have a race against Landry.

There's a lot more to receivers than how fast their feet hit the ground.

I don't think he's competing with Thomas or Kelly. They (& Moss & ARE) are almost certain to make the team. Mic is competing with the other 6 WR's for the last 2 spots.

Mix didn`t seem to play slow making a couple of ST plays at the end of last season. I am hoping he comes on this year.
Lets go Redskins !

I'm in with the crowd that hopes Mix steps up and makes a name for himself, but I ain't holdin' my breathe. Moss, ARE in the slot, Thomas and Kelly are a solid group of receivers. If Mix joins that crew, great, but except for a few catches he made during preseason with the Giants, there's not much evidence Mix can be any better than average. And maybe "average" is all we need at this point. I definitely like his chances much better than McMullen, Mann and Toler. If Mix can be a major contributor on special teams, like he did on a few plays last year, as much as I like Thrash, it wouldn't kill me to see Thrash move on.

I agree they are almost certain to make the team, I really ment competing for the starting #3 spot.

I see him competing for the #5 or #6 spot. His competition is Thrash, McMullen, Mann, Gant & Toler. I think that Mann, Gant & Toler hav a combined 0 catches in the NFL, but that doesn't mean they can't produce. He probably needs to get down to 225-230# to be competitive at WR.
