Those highlights of him hitting people were amazing. When was the last time we had a saftey who hit so hard? Mark Carrier? When was the last time we had a saftey so talented? Ken Houston? This guy is immediatley going to be challenging Roy Williams for the top saftey in the league...
I'm bored, I'm broke, and I'm back.

And Winslow will be challenging every TE in history to be the best of all time.

Dude, you lose credibility when you say stuff like that. Will Winslow be challenging for the top tight end in the league? Maybe, although I think Tony Gonzalez is in a league by himself. This pick was about the best fit, and frankly, we needed a top saftey more than top tight end.
Now turn that frown upside down and be happy we have a wrecking ball playing free saftey...

Excellent pick! There is zero validity to knocking it.
Taylor more than makes up for the loss of Bailey by improving Smoot and Springs simply with his ability to help cover routes and hawk the ball.
Props to Gibbs. You know he was itching to take Winslow. But in the end, a safety is on the field for every defensive play, and he has the ability to change every play, where and H-back will block more than 50% of the time, and you can get a great blocker like Koz on blocking downs, and move a big reciever like McCants or Gardner into the H-back position on passing downs. This was a Redksins first move . . . mega-props to the FO and coach Gibbs.
FYI - did you know that Taylor scored more touchdowns last year on defense than Winslow did on offense?

Dave Butz was a monster. Nobody ran on number 65.

Very well put. I think Taylor can raise the level of the whole defense this coming season.
