Well I just looked up the choices we have who are unsigned right now. Keydrick Vincent (mentioned earlier) seems to be the best bet at this point. He is a former starter at Guard in Baltimore and there are many teams courting him right now. Interested are the Jets, Dolphins and Bills. Granted none of these teams are really offensive line powerhouses and I would feel a little better if a Denver team was going after him but hey, its slim picking right not. I cant imagine that we are going to trade for anyone right now. Its simply too late into the season in my opinion unless you find a team without a prayer who will take a draft choice ( OAK, ATL, CLE) We shall see how this one plays out

Has anybody looked at the choices available these days?

All kidding aside, this sounds promising:

Has anyone heard any news on ARL's hamstring? Didn't he pull something in the game, and I didn't see him come back out.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

I thought it was just cramps. He was getting an IV in the locker room, but I didn't see him come back out.

They'll also work out Rick DeMulling on Wednesday.

There are some young guys out there like Ikechuku Ndukwe who was here briefly last year and in now on the Ravens PS, Taylor Whitley was one of the last OL cut before the season started, and Will Whitticker hung around until he suffered a high ankle sprain during training camp (not sure of his injury status). Then there is the seasoned vets like Zach Pillar, Adam Timmerman, and Zach Wiegert

I think we should pick up 1 of the young guys who have some knowledge of the system, Ike, Big Will & Whitley all fit that description.

Thomas will have surgery & be out at least 2 months. We definitely need another OG on roster.

This could have been worse. Now we can get him back in time for our playoff run.

I just want to give some first hand knowledge of a triceps tear. Three years ago my brother had a complete detachment of his tricep, ( worse then Randy) he was in the gym doing a bench press of over 500 lbs when it happened. His arm was so bruised that it looked like someone hit him with a bat. I want to give this comparison because he is about the same size as Randy Thomas. My brother had to have surgery to reattach the tendon to the bone and he has a 12 inch long scar on the back of his elbow and up his arm. My point to this is he was back in the gym lifting light weights within two weeks and about two months later he was back to benching over 400 lbs, it took almost a year before he was back to full strength. He told me that this is an injury that tends to heal realativly fast. So if all goes well we may see Thomas play again this year.

It seems like it would be a hard thing to do. How do you even tear a muscle like that playing football? Is it a rare thing?

(I'm hoping this is ok in the Hog Wash forum since its related to Thomas. Apologies if not.)

Thanks for the info! I'm really glad they haven't placed Randy on IR yet. Definitely one of my favorite skins right now. Would be great to see him back at the end of the season and in the playoffs... :)

Great, thanks for locking my thread. Seems like a really important thing to do. Really appreciate it. Let me post my question here again:

I'd rather have him gone for the rest of the season and the playoff run so he can heal right and be 100% for next season.

Well thanks for whining about it. Especially when it basically amounts to you being too lazy to check an existing thread.

If you had posted in the correct thread instead of starting a new one, you might have seen that the questions that you seek were answered literally two posts above where you're complaining about having to come to this thread to ask questions about Randy Thomas.

That's why we try to keep like threads together, and keep them on topic... so that when people come here... they know where to go... and not have to choose from four or five different spots that all ultimately end up with the exact same info.

So I'd really like to thank you for complaining about a rule and virtually proving that same rule's worth in the exact same post.
