you don't think he would help in the heart, leadership, teaching role? something we've kinda been lacking on the field the past couple of years... something the D. Green did his last couple of years here....

i really don't. if we bring him in as a coach/mentor, thats fine. but we already have too much dead weight on the roster without adding another. the coaching staff will develop that heart and desire you spoke of. then other guys will emerge as team leaders in the locker room and on the field.

well.. i hope if we don't bring him in that your right... that others emerge into leaders and show some heart.... because there's definetly been a lack of that since him and green left.

i think this team has been missing leadership from the top on down. we don't have to worry about players buying into the fun n gun, or new systems anymore, because of the staff we have. the players already believe in the new system at this point and thats a plus. i think gibbs and co will be all the leadership the team needs.

I concur. I think he maybe able to coach.

WHAT?!?!?!

Griffin is a definite upgrade, even Daniels is an upgrade. We have definetly upgraded the D-Line. No, none of these guys are Kris Jenkins, or Jevon Kearse, but how can you say they aren't an upgrade. This line will be a good runstopping line. Teams will no longer be able to rely on getting 4-5 yards on every single run play like they did last year. I'm sure that we will also draft some D-line help. Our D-line won't be great, but it will be good enough to allow our LB's and Secondary to take care of the rest.

Don't mean to bust your chops, but how could you say that we haven't upgraded our line?

Check you PM chaddukes.

Good point on the D-line - we aren't strong in the pass rush but do have some good run stoppers. Will they just throw over us? Not if we get Sean Taylor!!!!
