I say, we demand a recall of that absurd system. Only people that wish to spend limitless amount of silly money on quasi-fantasy teams need apply as owners from now on.

I'm with you on this one !!!

but only if we demand the game is played with a over inflated ball and all line judges must be only partially blind as opposed to completely sightless

There are valid arguments to be made that Williams has made poor personnel decisions on defence, but those arguments would be better made without childish namecalling.

I'm with you on this one. . .the man has one bad year in Washington and all of the sudden it's as if he has a track record of terrible defenses

Well, to be fair, his defenses have always been awful at creating turnovers. From this article:

During his three years as Buffalo's head coach, the Bills never caused more than 19 take-aways in a season, and ranked last two seasons and second-to-last the other.

That's a bad track record. It's almost better to have a defense that gives up yards but creates turnovers (giving the offense a short field to work from), than to have a defense that doesn't give up yards, but doesn't get any turnovers, either. Because if your offense makes a mistake (fumble/int), than you know your defense cannot reciprocate.

It's a little surprising that Williams' defenses have never created turnovers, because he supposedly runs a high-risk, blitzing defense. For example, the Eagles run a blitzing defense, and historically get a lot of turnovers because of the pressure...

I agree with showing williams the door. According to stats....there are 29 teams in the NFL with a better defense.

The important point here is that this GW defense is progressively getting worse, not better. And the only reputation he has is for being agressive, and for pissing off his players.

Now this is suposition on my part, but I think the reason why Holdman is in there is because he does what he is told to do. He doesn't freelance like Arrington did. Unfortunately, most of the great players often freelance a bit because it's natural for them to play on instinct. I believe that's what got Arrington in Williams dog house, and why he kept a three time pro bowler riding the pine, while allowing Holdman to remain out there missing tackles and not getting off blocks for 9 games last year.

And I truly believe that in Rodgers case, he is being hampered by the coaching staff, instead of being helped. Just watch how often our corners are lined up 10 yards off the line of scrimmage. With the no contact rule after 5 yards, the opposing recievers have a free release into there routs. And this doesn't just happen on long yardage situations....hell, it can be 3rd and 4, and they are off the line 10 yards? That's an automatic 1st down with a three step drop and fire it outside...if the corner comes up and misses the tackle, it's a 20 yard gain or more. Rodgers is not a speedster...he is a physical corner that needs to be up on the line disrupting the rout...having him off the line like that is setting him up for failure.

No. Williams defense is far from genius status, and that's why we keep getting beat in the second half. He's a one trick pony, and for those offenses that figure out his tendancies, they have big days. How many QB's this year have come in and looked like the reincarnation of John Elway?
