See, it's posts like these that remind me why BH won't give me access to the ban button. We have spent weeks working out the logistics, negotiating, spending money we don't have to but equipment to do a mobile podcast, and the only thing you have to say is to slag a guy for giving up his own personal time to allow the fans an inside glimpse of what happens at Redskins Park? I can't go any further without resorting to smack, but sufficeth to say, your posts are worthless pieces of garbage.

yeah, i'm really disappointed in lloyd. clearly, he should rush brunell on every play, strip the ball from him, throw it way up in the air downfield, sprint out after it, and make some catches.
instead, he's just sprinting downfield WITHOUT THE BALL! and he just expects someone ELSE to throw!
how lazy.

A Brandon Lloyd show on THN is amazing on so many levels:
* It gives Brandon a chance to interact with his fans and tell us about himself every week, completely FREE to us fans.
* Fans get to hear perspectives on the team straight from Brandon, every week, FOR FREE.
* THN furthers its mission to provide exclusive content for all Skins fans. . .FOR FREE.
Tinco, have you read the previous interviews conducted by THN? Even though I'm on Staff, I didn't have anything to do with BH's interviews with the 2 Canadians at training camp (a 2 part series with Jesse!), Ray Brown, or a Skins writer for a local paper. However, I will say that those were some of the most intelligent interviews that I've seen with players. Mark did his homework before each interview and it paid off big time. I know JF enough to know that he will be doing just as much work to make sure each podcast is quality. (It's FOR FREE, by the way).
Again, with THN us fans (again, I'm not involved in writing / conducting interviews) don't have to suffer through questions like "So was training camp hard? LOL". . .we get the kinds of questions that only a fan--with no editorial strings attached--could really ask.
Brandon Lloyd is being a great guy for offering his time like this. You realize that as a player in the NFL he works a full time job and has to run his own PR life part-time as well? Lloyd could be home with his family every week for an extra couple of hours, but instead he's graciously decided to reach out to his fanbase.
As for me, I'll be waiting each week for that podcast, knowing that I'm going to be getting info that is only available at THN.
A great thanks to Brandon for his generosity, and kudos to BossHog and JansenFan, who work harder than 75% of this website realizes and do a professional job with class.

Someone's complaining about a podcast?!? Heavens, I thought the OP was talking about the radio show!! If you don't like it, don't listen; end of discussion! Everyone else is right; the people running this website are doing a great job for no pay, so pointless griping adds nothing. As for B. Lloyd, I'm just glad he's nice enough to talk to the fans. Think T.O. would do a podcast for some fan site? Doubtful.

There is a point in the lives of some fans after a bad stretch of games that prevents them from seeing -ANYTHING- good on -ANYTHING- that is done by our players and the staff of this site.
Some posters are used to OPEN their big mouths or type anything on their keyboards without any thought whatsoever other than to use it to spill vitriolic comments full of frustration.
I am grateful to have Lloyd with us. I think that this is great because:
1) It shows a commitment to communicate and bond directly with the grassroots fans.
2) It provides us with a very good perspective from inside the team.
3) It helps dispel once and for all the "bad self-centered image" that some 49er fans promoted about him when he left that team.
4) If he has anything to say about music in addition to football, I am also intersted to hear it just as one friend would like to hear another on anything.
5) This isthe result of a GREAT effort on behalf on many dedicated people and I love to see that effort REWARDED to Lloyd and many people in his staff and ours.
I am grateful.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

This post is exactly why Brandon has every right to dislike the fans of D.C.
I would hope Lloyd would be big enough to not consider all DC fans jerks because of a few. But I'm with you in terms of his having had class in a difficult situation trying to live up to a big contract and high expectations with the endless frustration of an old quarterback who apparently can't throw him the ball, then some "fans" who inexplicably expect him to post big numbers anyway.

I see what goes into making this place run. I see men who work this job, and don't kid yourself, it is a job, around their daily lifes to provide these things to you. I see people like Brandon Lloyd being dedicated enough to give up his free time to put something like this together so that he can connect with the average fan out there.
TIC (Tongue In Cheek)
And here I thought that Boss Hog and all these guys were making millions off of this site. I expected Boss to have a house right next door to Dan Snyder, twice as big, three times as much property and a trophy wife to boot.
I am devastated that my visions of grandeur are shaddered.

On a serious note, it would seem to me that it is to early to determine whether the new guys are a bust or a boom. They have not had much of an opportunity to be graded.
Tincoskin, your post has relegated you depths more commonly associated with the likes of DCD and Crazyhorse.
The coup to come up with a Brandon Lloyd show, sans Redskins assistance, is testament to the sheer brilliance, dedication, loyalty, hard work, and willingness to provide such access to fellow THN'ers, that the board members provide. Absolutely brilliant, innovated, and awesome for the fans.
To say that he does not deserve a show, when the guy is as classy as they come, is preposterous.
Brandon Lloyd has worked tirelessly, made himself available to the fans, and worked hard for the Redskins. I can't believe you havce the audacity to trash Brunell for not getting his WR's the ball in one post, and then trash Lloyd for not receiving it in another. The ignorance of it is utterly mind boggling.
You're on your own pal!! I stop short of attacking you, personally, but do you realize how utterly ludicrous you've just made yourself look?
I hope so, cuz it's unbelievably obvious!

i like this site too much to allow us to keep this argument going which in the end will only serve to bring bad PR to the site which i love.
And what about bringing bad PR to yourself? Do you realize the negative PR you've just done to yourself by showing how ungratefull and selfish you appear to be?

Well I should have known that for some reason i would have to explain why it's such a fantastic thing to have an actual Redskins player, a Redskins starter for that matter, do a show with THN.
I think most people have sounded off enough to hit a lot of the points, but to be honest, nobody has actually touched on the real reasons we wanted to do a show with Brandon.
He's insightful.
He's passionate.
He has many diverse interests.
And he was willing to give his time to Redskin fans.
This didn't come about by accident. We spoke to some of the local press we know about various possible players to approach... I listened and watched intently at training camp to how certain players interacted with the media... to be perfectly honest with you, I think he's just one of the best guys you could possibly hope to get to do this kind of thing.
Maybe some of you don't know that Brandon would like to get into journalism when he's done football, he's actually already done a TV apprenticeship (with Fox I believe), he already does a weekly show on Redskins Radio with Bram, so obviously the Redskins recognized the value in doing a show with BLloyd as well.
We managed to put this together for one reason - because Brandon was into it. Brandon not only was willing to reach out to the fans... he WANTED to. There were several things that held this up and could have stopped it in it's tracks, but Brandon and Scott patiently worked through everything to make it happen.
We have a lot of great ideas for the show, and we hope you do to. next week i will open up the form on the BLloyd page of the site to accept feedback from you guys. You'll be able to send us your questions and we'll pick the best ones to have Brandon answer on the air.
No other Redskin fan site has anything like this.
If you don't appreciate it, you don't deserve it. If you do appreciate it, then you're really going to enjoy it.
We had a few techie issues this week, but from here on out, the show will be posted on Wednesdays at noon. We will also have a better idea of some time details this week and will be able to settle into a format for the show. Right now we're looking at it being a 30-minute show and we will have a couple of 'commercial' breaks.
The commercials will actually be public service announcements for local and Redskin player charities. If you're involved with a charity event that involves the Redskins somehow, let us know and we'd be happy to give it a pop on the show.
Thanks.
PS - I guess I had put in a bad character in the podcast link on the B Lloyd page... but it's working now. My apologies.

Well I for one am appalled that THN would dedicate their time and resources to providing exclusive segments from a star player on our favorite football team. What nerve you all must have! How dare you. Tinco, you are right to judge them!!

Just a couple of comments a day later...
1) It occurs to me after re-reading this thread that the real question should be why would Brandon agree to do a show for a group of fans that contains people that are so obviously unappreciative of anything. I guess in a world of free internet stuff, it becomes real easy just to take anything and everything for granted.
2) Want to try and get an idea of what we were up against as far as the Redskins go? Just try and put together a show like this. Better yet, just look at all the other fan sites that have managed to put something together like this -- it won't take you long -- there aren't any. I can only presume they didn't have the stamina or patience to go through what we went though to get this off of the ground. I don't expect many people tounderstand what a long and tedious process it has been, but sufficeth to say that were it not for JF's polite persistence and quiet patience, this would have gone the way of the dodo bird.
3) I've listened to the show a few times now and I just cant wait until next week. As I said, we went in blind and now we have a little better idea of what BLloyd has in mind... things will improve exponentially next week, and I think a little bit more after that. I don't imagine we'll have ALL bugs worked out by this Monday's recording, but after that it should be smooth sailing.
4) We're going to introduce a feature or two next week and start establishing a bit more of a format for the listeners. One of the things added will obviously be the mail bag at the end of the show. This is YOUR chance to speak directly to a Redskin player. We can't take everyone's questions, but I can promise you that if you actually ASK a good question... it's likely going to get read on the air.
Last note... on JansenFan... so few of you are fit to even lick this guy's boots. The only thing that makes me prouder than having a fellow Redskin fan like JansenFan, is having a friend like JansenFan.

While I can not say that I know first hand how painstaking the whole process undoubtedly is/was, I can certainly appreciate and understand that it was a monumental task that required individual dedication, determination, and perserverance. The whole project, from beginning to end, must have been enormous and painstaking!
Kudos to the staff, particularly JF!!
I'm sure I speak on behalf of the extreme majority of posters to this site in extending a huge collective THANK YOU to JF for his commitment to this venture. It does NOT go unappreciated, I can assure you.

I want to thank B. Lloyd. He is the ultimate professional and an outstanding person. Just having the opportunity to work directly with him for one show has already made up for the weeks of work. Not many will know the barriers and obstacles that we had to work around to make this happen, but no matter how persistent or patient I was, if B. Lloyd didn't want it to happen from the get-go, it wouldn't have.
Like I said in the podcast, almost every player in the league talks the talk about how important the fans are, but I can think of very few that actually back that up by walking the walk and really showing that they think the fans are important.
B. Lloyd is the real deal. As far as the original "thought" of this thread, Lloyd is showing each and every week that he will make plays if you get him the ball. He has shown in the past that he will stretch out for passes and actually catch them when very few other people in the league can.

Can't wait till next week, keep up the great work guys and as for the haters, i know the Cowboys are looking for fans, don't let the gate hit you on the way out.
B Lloyd, i can't wait till they actually start throwing in your direction.
