Ill say this. Gibbs put Brunell in because he's a vet who can manage a game. Its not his arm or his speed that Gibbs choose this guy for.

That being said.... Mark has not managed the game, he threw it away (INT) and pissed away time before the half. So what benefit does he add at this point?
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

You are right Luva Luva.....if he could manage a game well then i could see his worth. He has no value to this team and his poor play carries over to everyone.....how many times does the defense have to watch the offense go three and out and try and keep the game competitive? It had to be so tiring to see that last night. It all begins with #8 and carries over to every facet of the team. If he doesnt complete those 2 passes to Moss last year at Dallas what has he done? Think if we had an average QB in both of those playoff games....we gave Seattle their toughest test but couldnt score.....i wonder why. This guy has held us back way too long and i just pray Gibbs WAKES UP!! COme on Joe.....pulling him saves your season!! 99.999999% of the world can see this!

Yeah he did. He threw deep to a well-covered Cooley which resulted in an INT... :wink:

The thing that gets me is that we always hear about Brunell's ability to "manage the game". Which is code for not forcing things and throwing the ball away when its not there.

Well thats all fine and dandy as we KNOW that Brunell knows how to throw the ball away.

But if all he's going to do is;

1.) throw the ball away
2.) throw 2 INT's (the second didn't count b/c of the false start but was still horrible QB play all the same)
3.) handoff to a RB
4.) get sacked
5.) run out of bounds

Then WHY CAN'T WE TEACH CAMPBELL TO DO THE SAME THING ???!!!!

ROTFALMAO
Jason's young and strong - I bet he can fling it into the stands way higher than Brunell. Heck, I bet he can hit the club level!! :wink:

They've played better too. Averaging 4.4 yards rushing isn't bad considering Portis has only carried 10 times. If Brunell were more moble they wouldn't be getting such a bad rap

QB just happens to be a crucial position, and a great one can otherwise elevate a mediocre team. Look how far the Pats have ridden Brady. On the other hand, Brunell is proving to be dead weight, dragging down a team otherwise loaded with talent.

Actually, The Redskins were on Dallas' 21 yard line at the time. While Grandma might consider that 'deep', most of the rest of the NFL wouldn't.

Is it sad that I consider that deep now for Brunell? I mean watching him throw a 3 yard out pattern, the ball just hangs in the air...
