Still an absurd statement & It's not what he said. What about the fact that the Byzintine Empire didn't exist at that time either.

First and foremost I meant to say 600 CE, so that is my mistake and should be corrected, however in relation to my argument I have made the date is completely insignificant and it was an honest mistake and quite obvious so get over it!

Again, you can't see the forest b/c of the trees!

Try not to be so rigid in your thinking......(actually the world would be such a better place if people could be less rigid in their thought & opinions)

If I say, as I originally intended to due so, that the Muslims took the area from Byzantine Empire in 600 CE will it appease you and possibly allow you to go back and re-read my posts and perhaps comment on the overall subject rather than try to discredit it? Perhaps some positive thoughts rather than negativity?

There is no consensus on the starting date of the Byzantine period, so for you to call me out about a period of history that even the best scholars cannot pinpoint date is absurd and shows your willingness to look past the overall subject of my post and try to pick it apart on technicalites! WTF cares when the Byzantine Empire "officially" existed! My only point was that present day Arabs/Muslims have been in the area far longer than the Jews, Zionists, or whatever they should be called.

As Crazyhorse said, I am simply referring to the group of people that have occupied Israel since ancient times.

My point is: The US needs to get out of the middle east, focus it's efforts on total energy independence, and let those who have made their bed sleep in it! We do not belong on the other side of the world dictating policy or trying to democratize a section of the world that has lived under other forms of governing since ancient times and has no will or desire to change their culture into one that emulates Western Society.

Let's focus our energy, money, and intellect on our own society instead of trying to create or change others!

No consensus on the start of the Byzantine Empire, but no where near 600 BCE. Saying 600 CE makes a little more sense. For most of the time between 600 & 1900, the area was ruled by the Turks. The only time the Muslims showed any interest in the area was when someone else wanted it. At least during the 19th century, the area was sparsely inhabited. There were a few Jews, a few Christians & a few Muslims. There was never an Arab country in "Palestine" till the Brits gave Abdullah the part east of the Jordan (3/4 of the total) as a consolation prize for getting his butt kicked by the Saudis.

There you go again. When are you going to learn... fact and history have no place in this discussion. Truth? It serves no useful purpose, except to detract from the real goal... Just stop it.

You forgot conservative Christian! BTW, for the first few hundred years, most Christians were also Jews, and today, Messianic Jews would disagree with you, too.

Christianity did start as a cult among Jews, but changed dramatically. You can't be Jewish & accept any divinity other than God. While we believe that there will be a Messiah, our concept is far different than that which Chrisrians accept.

As for "Messianic Jews", I think you're refering to "Hebrew Christians". As I said, just because you call yourself something doesn't make it so. If it were that easy, I'd call myself a billionaire.
