Ray Lewis news

"However, we're told that the Redskins previously have made a significant offer for Lewis -- and that the Ravens declined."

Interesting. Wounder what the signigicant offer was. Profootballtalk.com is unreliable. Arn't they the ones that said we signed samari rolle last offseason?

That's illogical. I don't know how we would do this. It's not like we have a ton of salary cap room to work with, and MLB is not a weakness on our team.

Pro football talk.

Meaning it's 99% likely to be untrue.

Whats so bad about having Ray Lewis? Guys a player with passion for the game, if we get him for an insignificant player or low draft pick then why the heck not.

Id hate to have him here and its nothing against him personally.
MLB is not a need.
He's aging.
Mary isnt our coach.
Spurrier isn't out coach.
Danny boy isn't in charge.
What about....
team chemisty?
Deoin Sanders?
Mark Carrier?
Bruce Smith?
The state of Florida?

I'll pass.

I doubt we made an offer its just everyone says that to up the ante on the players price.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

We don't need Ray Lewis. He can't stay healthy and he's going to want a BIG raise, that's why he wants out of Baltimore. I'd rather have Lemar Marshall.

Ray Lewis is a much better MLB than what we currently have, in my opinion.

But he's not worth the price that he will likely ask, and we're in general cap trouble as it is anyway. Those two factors (and that's before we think about chemistry, character, etc.) make this look like a bad idea.

Besides, we're not exactly hurting with Marshall at MLB, if you ask me.

Also...we're pretty much capped out at the Prima Donna position.
He's a much more effective distraction then he is a player now.

I see Marshall as a future star at MLB. His play was close to pro bowl level by the last half of last season, according to me. He was making every kind of play. I'm not sure Lewis could beat him out.

Yeah, the whole argument is unnessesary because we don't need him and we can't affort him.

Our LB are looking dam good, there is no need for Lewis and his contract. And don't forget, his best years are also behind him. Synder will hopefully not sign old washed up vets anymore esp; when they are demanding big bucks for the stats they accumulated somewhere else.

This thread's a joke. This deal is even worse than going for TO or Farve.
