Ray Lewis news

"However, we're told that the Redskins previously have made a significant offer for Lewis -- and that the Ravens declined."
Interesting. Wounder what the signigicant offer was. Profootballtalk.com is unreliable. Arn't they the ones that said we signed samari rolle last offseason?

Id hate to have him here and its nothing against him personally.
MLB is not a need.
He's aging.
Mary isnt our coach.
Spurrier isn't out coach.
Danny boy isn't in charge.
What about....
team chemisty?
Deoin Sanders?
Mark Carrier?
Bruce Smith?
The state of Florida?
I'll pass.
I doubt we made an offer its just everyone says that to up the ante on the players price.

Ray Lewis is a much better MLB than what we currently have, in my opinion.
But he's not worth the price that he will likely ask, and we're in general cap trouble as it is anyway. Those two factors (and that's before we think about chemistry, character, etc.) make this look like a bad idea.
Besides, we're not exactly hurting with Marshall at MLB, if you ask me.

He's a much more effective distraction then he is a player now.
I see Marshall as a future star at MLB. His play was close to pro bowl level by the last half of last season, according to me. He was making every kind of play. I'm not sure Lewis could beat him out.
Yeah, the whole argument is unnessesary because we don't need him and we can't affort him.
"...because deep down, every professional football player knows that they want to shoot bullets through any helmet with the star on it, the same way every baseball player secretly wants to make tic-tac-toe boards out of pinstripes."
