OLT Chad Clifton has agreed to a long-term deal with the team. Clifton, who was previously tagged as the team's franchise player, will sign a six-year, $32.4 million deal that includes an $11 million signing bonus.

LB Chris Claiborne reworked his contract Tuesday, March 2, and has one year remaining on his deal. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
New Orleans Saints
Re-signed CB Fakhir Brown to a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Reached an agreement with free agent RB Aaron Stecker (Buccaneers). Stecker will sign a four-year, $4.4 million contract that includes a $650,000 signing bonus.

Seattle Seahawks
Signed Defensive End Grant Wistrom (Rams) to a deal with base salaries of $1.5 million (2004), $2 million (2005), $3.5 million (2006), $3.5 million (2007), $4 million (2008) and $4.5 million (2009) and a $14 million signing bonus.
St. Louis Rams
Re-signed P Sean Landeta to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Signed LB Derrick Brooks to a three-year contract extension that has freed up about $2.74 million in salary cap room and extends his deal through the 2009 season. Brooks will essentially earn the same $5.5 million he was scheduled to make this year, but it will be distributed differently. The Buccaneers reduced his base salary to $1 million and
guaranteed the difference ($4.5 million) in a signing bonus. Thus, his cap charge for 2005 and 2006 go up by about $700,000 each season. $750,000 was also added to his base salary for 2006. The team will likely be forced to restructure his contract again next spring, as he'll have a cap hit of $9.657 million. His base salaries are $10 million (2007), $11 million (2008) and $12 million (2009).

Signed free agent OLT Derrick Deese (49ers) to a multi-year contract. The contract is a six-year contract that could be worth as much as $15 million. It includes a $2.5 million signing bonus. Deese will earn a total of $5 million between the signing bonus and base salaries in the first two seasons.
