Simmer. Where in my post did I say Bell was GREAT??? Bell isn't starting cuz Anderson had a great camp and pre season. Bell also has had some small nagging injuries. I fully expect him to emerge as the season goes on. As far as Dayne and clarret, depth.
I have always liked Anderson and Bell looks like he will be good. When the pick was wasted on Clarret, there were injury questions in the Denver backfield. Sure, they probably should've taken someone else in Clarret's place, but they did seem to need depth at RB at the time.
Clinton Portis was our only offensive weapon in most of the games last year. At the same time, we were able to pick up Springs after Bailey left, and our defense actually improved. So, it's pretty hard to say we got shafted on that deal.
That being said, 100-yard runners have been few and far between against this Washington Defense -- and the D-line, particularly Corny, is underrated.
Those denver fans expecting a cakewalk will be in for a real surprise, though I'm sure the denver players and coaches aren't looking past us.
