id like to throw in that we have arguably the best running back in the NFL (taking yardage, and age into account) which came from a trade that no other NFL teams would ever want to do bc its to much of a change, I say go out there trade some players around, see whats working, make sure its all set by summertime. Champ Bailey was a laughing stock, I've sat my ass down in those seats at the stadium so many times after jumping up thinking he may pick one off...but oh no....touchdown other team ... if it were up to me, id take lavar and pick 9 and send it to the dolphins for jason taylor and pick 2, im probably gonna get ripped apart for this post.... but i think the trading is the least of our problems, maybe its the fans....lets give them a chance to screw up before we start cutting down the front office you know? Did Oakland screw us over?

Post by fleetus »

Just a thought, but, right after we ended talks with Oakland about Buchanon, we pulled the trigger on the Denver trade, getting the #25 pick. Some people speculated that we could possibly turn that pick around for more draft picks and even a veteran player. I find it very coincidental that Oakland just sent Doug Jolley and their 2nd rounder (and two 6th rounders) to the Jets for the #26 pick, ONE PICK BEHIND US! Maybe its just coincidence, but I sure could see Gibbs trying to get a veteran TE like Jolley and three more draft picks at the same time. Food for thought.
Build through the draft!
