Fred Smoot has a dream of Waffle Houses in Washington D.C.

Fred Smoot(notes) may have been cut by the Washington Redskins, but that doesn't mean he's done making a difference in the nation's capital. The (twice) former 'Skins cornerback said he wants to keep his roots in the city by opening up D.C.'s first ever Waffle House.

The free agent appeared on a ...

I'm glad to hear this from Haynesworth - only because I know and he knows that major change is inevitable with the recent announcement about Bruce Allen. Portis probably was one of the guys that was late to practice with no recourse which is why I hope he is gone - it's players like that who ...

I have searched and can't fine the ruling on this....I seen where the rule was looked at and thref wee emcouraged to let the play, play out. After yesterday's ruling I'm left with the question when does a play really end...do you now coach your played to go after the ball when you have fumbled ...

I think they changed that ruling this season and you can play through the whistle on fumbles, etc.

Yes they did... if a player fumbles, even if the player is called down, and if other team goes for the ball and clearly has possession of it they can be given the ball after a review.

I didn ...

In the Seller's fumble case, it doesn't matter who can challenge it. The key is the whistle was blown BEFORE the Saints picked up the ball. The play is OVER. The Skins should have retained possesion.

THE SELLERS FUMBLE & A FEW OTHER KEY SCREWUP'S (bad call

It's debatable whether or not Mike Sellers fumbled the ball in OT, but what is not debatable is the refs really screwed up - they blew the whistle before a Saints player even came close to taking possession of the ball. Dead Ball...Period. Once the ref blows the whistle, the play is over. You cannot ...

I agree with everyone here that thinks that the new GM (if Cerrato is fired) needs to have 100% control of the team before we can get this thing turned around. My fear is that Danny boy is too young, cocky, and stubborn to realize this, and he will keep experimenting with new head coaches until he ...

Changing head coaches won't help, even with a big name coach - as long as Snyder and Cerato run the team from the top down. I will start getting excited when there is talks of a new GM with 100% control - and then a new coach would be something to talk about.

I say Campbell but it honestly really won't matter. Do you think Tom Brady would have thrown for 5 TD's in one quarter with the Skins O-line? No way. I feel bad for Sherman Lewis coming in trying to fix an un-fixable problem.

It's not the QB. Do you think Tom Brady would have thrown 5 TD's in the first half with the Redskins O-line? Hahahah - no way.

Campbell looks timid and confussed out there sometimes, but that is because he's never had a line that could protect him.

Fire Vinny Cerrato!

He sure is a smooth talker and he is a "people person" but that's not enough. We need a real football GM to take control.

We all know the offensive problems stem from no offensive line - this wasn't addressed in the off-season at all. BRILLIANT. Now, to solve all the problems, we hire an ...

No one talking about Zorn not challenging the Lion's TD?

After we had a pass interference called, the ball was spotted on the 1 yard line. The Lions took it outside on 2nd down and dove in for the TD - but he was down before getting the ball in the end-zone.

No one even blinked. Zorn should have challenged it. We were one stop away from holding them ...

I am optimistic that Jim Zorn will be a good coach - mainly because he can't do a worse job than Gibbs in crucial game time decisions. (no disrespect to Joe)

Also, I've felt like the previous ten years of experienced coaches have tried too hard (probably due to unrealistic expectations) and just ...
