candidae is a sissy...martz basically called him that in St. Louis - for the record, trung LOST two games for St. Louis all by himself with big fumbles in clutch situations.

Look, T. Jones put up a 4.6 yd/per carry avg last year and J. Stewart put up a 4.6 yd avg in his 01-02 in Detroit - those ...

hold on a minute, i agree with the not-so-sugary assessments of Lavar. He has only shown that he could be a great player. He has only proved that he knows how to lose as many games with his recklessnessas as he wins with his athleticism. He gets paid way too much for his production, and he still can ...

Middle of the pack????? LA Nation, with our line right now we are not "middle of the pack", we are BOTTOM of the pack. Please name 5 teams with a worse DL than ours. Upshaw/Wynn are terrible, they were let go by teams that were tired of having a terrible DL - and we pick them up! The same goes for ...

I keep hearing complaints about his systems and coaches but spurrier PASSED the ball all the time. LC played with pennington and a jets team that made the playoffs before he came here, and his stats were almost identical to his stats in the spurrier offense. what about gardner's numbers???

So ...

Fine then...I only compared defenses bc defense gets you to the playoffs.

On offense we might have the slight upperhand at QB and RB(granted, a large edge at rb), but they have better TE's and an offensive line that is as about as good as ours and has better depth. I think the wr's are a wash ...

So we clearly have more talent, excuse me, "physical" talent?

Let's compare the starters on defense - since that is what wins championships:

DE:
Cowboys: G. Ellis, M. Wiley
'Skins: Daniels/Wynn, Upshaw

Advantage: Cowboys, our DE's (including Daniels) suck

DT:
Cowboys: L. Glover, W ...

I would like to make the case that those who think he destroyed (destroyed?) the 9ers are not only wrong, but also ignorant of what happened over there.

here is the deal:

96- owens rookie year through 98- 49ers go 12-4, 13-3, 12-4...not bad. then comes 1999 and guess what happens????? Young ...

so bringthepain, you ARE saying that Owens destroyed the 9ers!? well in that case, then surferskin was right to question you; and I reitterate the "look at your own posts" comment, which was meant to show you that surferskin did read your posts and responded to your thoughts about Owens destroying ...

reading your own posts would show you that you said owens 'destroyed' the 49ers (itself an ignorant comment) and then backtracked to say " to some it could be positive... and to some that scould be negative...", which is nothing more than a rhetorical irrelevancy...

BringthePain is right when he ...

BringThePain! Ouch! Maybe you should read your own posts...

NcNabb to TO seals the deal in the NFC East, probably the NFL..

for anybody questioning the Redskin's ability to compete with the Eagles, take a look at the depth charts, notably on the defensive line.

at least the Giants suck!

there's probably more, those are just off the top of my head, but that's 5. Samuels has been worse every year since his rookie season. Our line is good, like top 10 maybe.

Samuels is overrated, he got tooled on constantly in one-on-one situations (not the TE-spurrier-scheme scenarios) last year and the year before. If you look at a real pro bowl T like Pace or Ogden, you can plainly see a HUGE difference between them and Samuels. Dockery is unproven, but he seems ...

we do not want opposing opinions here smizzy...the 'skins are gonna win the sb, i didn't even know there was a team called the jets. we like our arguments against opposing fans good and one sided...ganging up makes it easier to silence the other person.

garcia's in better shape than brunell and he wouldn't cost a draft pick. the reason why other owners wait a bit during FA is so the market settles down and true value can be established.
