a Depth of mediocrity...that worked out real well last year.

this guy had 2.5 sacks and he started the whole season? did we actually try and find the one guy out there who sucks as bad as our DL?

we better not be giving him millions...

having depth is very important indeed. that goes for all positions.

Yeah, if we go after injury prone Kearse, we are defintely going to need it.

At least this guy is durable. Plus, I have faith in Gregg Williams to get something out of lunchpail type guys.

One of the things I believe Boss brought up is that he switched from RE to LE... just like Kearse switched from LE to RE...

I wouldn't put it past Williams to bring them both in and put them back to their natural positions and then stick two very good tackles between them. It is hard for the OL of any team to double the tackles, like the good ones seem to require, and then double the DEs. One of the two of them should be free a lot.

I am very happy as a person who studies defenses to see this guy come in. We can see that he is capable of getting 9 sacks in a year next to a good DT.

Another thing that I see is that Chicago cleaned house of some of the older DTs that they had - Washington to the Pats sound familiar? Maybe, just maybe - the DT they replaced him with stunk and that allowed teams to concentrate on Daniels?

It is a good pickup to me, and I bet it will be fairly cap friendly to do this
