Frankly, if we stumble through the season and make the playoffs through some odd combination of tiebreakers and underachieving NFC East teams, it would only mean embarrassment on a larger stage. My 9 year son, who has become attached to Armstrong the way I did to Monk, said something along the lines ...

Wasn't that the basic premise of "Happy Gilmore"?

This article marks the first time I have even considered the possibility that McNugget might not be here next year because he'd rather be elsewhere. Previously, I felt like we were in the drivers seat, rating his performance and doing the math in our collective heads.
Suddenly, I feel like the guy ...

I think said on-field explosion might possibly cause widespread concussions, leading to fines and possible suspension.
How 'bout you just score some? That would be good enough for me. :)

The rookie HC in Denver unloaded that guy in a hurry, and nobody outside of Denver knew why.
Now, the whole world knows.

Younger boss in the workplace always winds up with some senior guy feeling weird about it. Just curious here...how many other OC's in the league are younger than the starting QB?

Did anybody else notice the body language McNugget was displaying early in the game when he was approached by Kyle on the sideline? I'm mostly deaf, and feel pretty good about reading people. It seemed to me that Kyle was attempting to find out what happened on a failed pass play (it might have been ...

Nice that the team rallied behind him and before the first snap dedicated the game to him and his.
Thankfully, it wasn't an unfortunate example of speaking too soon.

He's been in stir for well over a year now, and has at least 8 to go before parole can be considered.

I swear that my life flashed before my eyes with that jump shot in the endzone at the very last second.
Living in PA, getting the looks all week long while wearing the colors...and Sunday night, it's "Who you lookin' up at?"
Or maybe not. Whatever. I'll take the "W" any way it comes.

I wonder ...

It's my fault, these past two games. I invoked a jinx, inadvertently. Somewhere in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter of the TTiT game, I said aloud "I don't care if we don't win another game this season...I just want this one."
Wish granted.

Somehow, whoever handed him the pink slip couldn't be direct about the nature of his dismissal because his agent seems to think this was a strategic move to free up a roster spot temporarily, ala Pittsburgh with Byron Leftwich. Is it remotely possible that LJ will be back next week?

I'll second that. If you're the future of my franchise and the biggest brick in the wall around McNugget, curl up into a fetal position every time you buckle a knee so that some lumbering idiot doesn't fall on you and cause some real damage. :)

Totally agree with this. Eight months ago when Shanahan got hired I would've never thought we would be playing as well as we did today so soon.

That, I think, is why I can't shake the miserable feeling. This was not last years (or even last weeks) Redskins, and we didn't win. Despite the ...

I'm too wiped out to try and look forward to next week. I just about got myself kicked out of the bar, drinking nothing stronger than a Sprite. It's nice, having the luxury of breaking down the play of our highest-paid defensive player, the day after a victory against TTiT. Wish I had the opportunity more often...say, twice a season, every year? That'd be nice. Since I can't count on it, I'll take this opportunity, as presented. Haynesworth ...

Agreed. There's even the off-chance that AH responds well to being taken down a notch or two and allows himself to be coached. I keep hearing about how CP is in great shape and has a new attitude, so Shanahan has instant credibility with me. (It'll also be interesting to see how many players do ...

You're right. You know what it is? The name 'Galloway' was very familiar to me when we played TTiT and the Bucs. Seemed like he'd get a million yards every time out against us. When we signed him, I was thinking about not having to worry about that anymore...and just kind of put the whole age thing ...
