Sean Taylor is no longer playing free safety for the Washington Redskins.
It is time to let it go.
It's too painful reliving what could have been or what should have been in every thread.

Actually the point I was getting at in this thread about Jacobs being so tough is that he got punked every ...

There were a lot of things going on with our team that I didn't like. The only thing that worked well in the first half was our ko return unit. That's probably because of all the practice they were getting. I agree Zorn's debut was less than stellar. However, the master of the WC offense Bill Walsh ...

Jacobs couldn't handle ST, here's a friendly reminder.....

Jacobs could also be seen howling at Washington safety Sean Taylor. Jacobs said after the game Taylor warned him, "You'd better protect yourself" the next time they tangled.

"He throws his whole body out there like he's got another ...

The only reason I saw Fox making the team is b/c Landry is now the "veteran" safety. Other than that, I saw no reason to keep him and I'm glad he's cut.

On the note of safeties, Reed looked horrible on Sat nite. He's not improved nowhere near the level of establishing himself as a starter in for ...

Thomas will have to find another way on the field besides the return game. Lucky for him that is not why he was drafted. I haven't seen enough out of him in the passing game to make a judgment. He and Kelly both may not get involved until the second half of season.

One thing about the Panthers that maybe Zorn didn't know about is that they game plan for a preseason game just like a regular season game. That is why they usually have a good preseason record even in the years the team sucks. If we had a game plan it wasn't very good. As you may have noticed ...

I only saw a little of the game last night. He did have a sweet blocked punt. I don't know if he is playing on special teams by choice or not, but he was putting good effort into it.

I do feel comfortable with Zorn's play calling thus far. I like one person calling plays. Can you imagine how screwed our first TD drive would have become with last years staff?

Re: I met Joe Gibbs for the first time

Joe looked tan and fit and happy. Hopefully he's enjoying some more family time now that he's retired from football.Go Skins!

A couple of months ago they did a story on Joe on one of the stations out of Charlotte. They had video of him playing with one of his grandkids. You are right, he looks ...

The Skins have two strong safeties already.
What they need is another solid free safety.

Williams can play free safety. Williams can play corner if need be. Have you ever watched the kid play or are you basing your opinion of what a loser this kid is on a reporters article? If that is the ...

Despite all the kind things GSPODS said of him, he his still worth a look. I stand by my original statement that he is still better than any safety we have brought in this year. I'm not really sold on the Falcons as talent evaluators.

BTW, ICP's "cover" of Eminem's "My Name Is" is classic.

They have a lot of classics. I guess my fav is "If I Were A Serial Killer"

BTW, they will be in Baltimore tonight (19th), Richmond Tuesday and Norfolk Wednesday. Like I said it is worth the price of admission ...

Pearl Jam is a must for any collection. I just drove down to Columbia,SC on the 16th to watch them live. Awesome show. Next week on the 26th the Insane Clown Posse will be in Charlotte. I would take a look at him. I watched him play his whole career at Tech. I really don't remember any real trouble there. He is by far better than any safety we brought in this year. He is worth a look. If nothing else, being cut may have humbled him. Never hurts to bring a guy in for a look.

One thing we know for sure is that Springs will show up to camp in shape. He always does. Since there is not a complete change in defensive philosophy I'm sure he will be fine. This will also give the staff a chance to get a longer look at some of the new guys. Springs in the desert and Rogers ...

out of all the NFL offenses, the west coast system may be his best chance. I didn't see many Hawaii games because of the start time on the east coast, but it did look like he was able to make quick decisions and get rid of the ball in rhythm. There is nothing wrong with developing a guy, the pukes ...

Portis is my favorite without any hesitation. He is old school on the field. He runs hard, blocks hard, and if you watch some of the overhead views on pass plays he is down field looking to blow up a corner or safety.

One thing about a new coach coming in from outside the program is that he has no allegiance to anyone on the team. I know he really likes JC, I do too. BUT, all the players feel as though every job is really an open competition for the starting slot.
