Re: Possible QB options for 2019?

Rosen got upside but I'll pull the trigger on Brissett who did much more with the loses he took compared to Rosen. Brissett is only 26 at half the cost of Rosen. He's very mobile, have a cannon and the intangibles. Thats if I was going to TRADE.

I'm just not a big fan of Rosen. I just see ...

Re: Possible QB options for 2019?

Best possible scenario would be to draft a qb in the 1st or 2nd round, sign Ryan Fitzpatrick (will be cheaper than other vets due to age), cut ties with injury proned McCoy, and go with Josh Johnson as the 3rd string. So you have:

1. Rookie QB / Fitzpatrick / Johnson - depth chart

Re: Landon Collins?

I think he was saying that at the time because he wanted to get drafted pretty high and like others said because of the Sean Taylor love. At this point he probably would want to go where he can get paid!!

Re: Sean McVay

11 wins for a franchise that hadn't had a winning season since 2003. Up 7 wins on last year. Not a bad start

Yes I have to admit I was a naysayer about him but he did a great job this year with the Rams. I still think he is Kirk Cousins as a coach...detailed but not in-game orientated ...

Re: Signs that show this team never improves

It all comes down to overall talent and coaching. Talent not only includes skill but IQ, mental toughness. The coaching is adequate but there is lack of accountability and discipline on the team.

Your first point of not being able to win division games. Well that simply comes down to the fact that ...

Re: Boswell says Cousins is as good as gone

Skins would be a fool to either tag or franchise Cousins after this year. That was their mistake in the first place placing the franchise on him and giving him leverage. They should offer him the max they would sign him for in the negotiating period and allow him to hit free agency if he doesn't ...

I think Gruden has been sticking with the run more than ever this year. I thought McVay was a lil pass happy.

Re: OK....it's time to say "he's a bust".....

Doctson finally made a play!!! This is what we all been expecting. I'm pretty sure he can make more plays like this more often, however we just have to be more aggressive. Shouldn't have to be do or die for us to throw up a deep ball.

Re: Redskins at the half ...

Clean slate seems very likely for next season.

There's not a single area where the team looks good. None. One injury to the unit and it's basically useless (OL, DL, LB, RB, TE, QB, DB).

Paper- thin depth and lack of talent all-around . Again, as I have said, this is a planning mistake.

I don't ...

Re: Gruden Year 4

I agree Smithian about the calming influence. My take for a while has been that Gruden has been okay. Not horrible and not great, but good enough. Some positives IMO:

1) Four years of relative stability. Well, three. Throw out that first year with Griffin. I've been screaming for years that a team ...

Re: Gruden Year 4

I think you know great coaches when you see them. Same way with players. While I think Gruden has room to grow as a coach, I know for sure he isn't the next Joe Gibbs or anywhere close.

One thing we must all agree upon is unlike the Cowboys, our coach is really the voice of the Redskins and have ...

Hero --I agree with you 100%. It is NOT mandatory that a guy play football. If he decides he doesn't want the pounding and is willing to give up the income, good for them.

I do think it's a little unfair on a franchise when someone is drafted in the first or second round and then in a year or two ...

Don't miss him at all. He was liked and could be a speech coach but outside of that, he one of the long list of NFL guys that are fast-tracked through upper positions not because of their success but because of who they know or the family they come from. Was TE coach

He has a good offensive scheme ...

Gruden Year 4

What are your expectations? I feel alot of fans are just satisfied with playoffs. To me year 3 you should be competing in the playoffs and looked at as a possible Super Bowl contender in a perfect world.

I think from an organization standpoint I think it is kinda a shame that you have went 4 years ...

The Redskins have not been managed well for many years - everyone with any knowledge of the NFL knows this

Snyder's stupidity is mainly responsible for the dysfunction here not McCloughan

That's a straw man, and an obvious one at that.

I'm not blaming McCloughan for dysfunction. I'm holding ...

No way he's better than Carr nor Stafford.

Just curious, but by what measure? Neither of those guys have won a playoff game.

The big knock on Kirk over the past two years has been, yeah he's putting up good numbers but he hasn't won anything. So what have Carr or Stafford done that is wildly ...
