Champ Bailey

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Champ Bailey

Post by Chris Luva Luva »

I was sad to see Champ go, but I have to admit he's been getting his behind kicked on the national telivised games.

Some quotes from a football forum on his play.

"ya, he's the VERY FIRST CB to ever trip on turf."
"he didnt even get burned on the play...he TRIPPED.
OMG CUT HIM SAEV YUR MUNEE"
"OMG OWNED! Dude thats so terrible, he tripped, you should hang yourself and leave a note next to your body saying his trip depressed you into suicide!"
"How the hell did the Broncos give up the second best back in the league for this guy? C. Johnson owned him, as did Jerry Porter last week, in the snow no less.

"Shut down" corners are called that for a reason -- they completely shut down the opponents' receivers. The reason why they keep throwing at Champ is because his man is open a lot. They're better off with playing 6'4 Lenny Walls, who is as physical as a real shut down corner (like Ty Law), and has the height to play with guys like Moss and Burress."

"Portis is putting up good numbers in Washington, and the Skins D is just as good or better with the perfectly capable Shawn Springs replacing Bailey. If Joe Gibbs institutes a modern offense (they run more than Navy), finds a quarterback, and acquires receivers that can hold on to the ball, the Redskins become a contender in the NFC. This was a horrible trade for Denver, who still don't have the defensive toughness to win a game in the playoffs."

" also when champ was a redskin he would get raped constantly for some reason by Amani Toomer. also when champ was a redskin he would get raped constantly for some reason by Amani Toomer. "

"Yeah but he's been exposed FAR too often this year and I think the Redskins kept the right corner.Smoot is insane and Springs made me forget that fool even played here.If the Redskins had more than a hurt Coles,Thrash and the rookie H-Back Cooley they actually would have a good passing attack. They should be 8-3 not 3-8."
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

Shawn Springs is allright with me. Chump who?

Chump didn't know what he was going to miss, playing with a defense like we have now. His loss, not ours.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.
