What do we need?

Post by SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0 »

OK lets run down a whole overview of what we need next year, whether its draft, free agency or trade.

Here is what I am thinking.

QB: Ask me in about 5 weeks, By then we all will be able to tell if we need a QB.

RB: We are set with the starter, despite his past to weeks Portis is still a top 5 back in this league. However I think we need a backup. In my opinion we need a true power Running Back to back up Clinton Portis. That way Portis goes out a couple plays, we have a guy who can pound the defense, Portis comes back in Fresh, and the D is tired, Can you say, BIG RUN. Betts despite his apperance is a speed running back. Rock Cartwright lost a lot of weight, and in my opinion some power. I would like to see him back around 235-240. IF not I say get a power guy in here.

WR: Possibly set. I like Gardner, but he is inconsistent. He can make the greatest catch of all time, but then drop an easy pass. Coles is on pace for more catches than last year. IMO opinion with his toe better, you will see an even better Coles. D Mac ia good, but I don't see him as a starter yet, maybe I'm wrong, maybe not. Jacobs is the same way, and so is Thrash.

I think we keep Gardner this year, because of lack of a better affordable reciever without character problems. Porter will be there but he may be as inconsistent as Gardner if not more.

TE: Blow this thing up. Nobody here is worth keeping. Lets Draft a guy like Heath Miller from UVA, if possible, and sign another affordable guy. This unit is unnaceptable in a Joe Gibbs system.

H Back: Don't change a thing. Cooley reminds me of a youn Frank Wychek. Sellars is a monster blocking. I think we really have what we need here.

O Line: :hmm: Samuels, is playing good, but I know he can play better Keep him if he restructures. Jansen will be back fighting like an animal that just got let out of a cage. Thomas does not crack. Besides that I don't like it. Dockery IMO is not playing good at all, and I don't know if he can play better. If he can play better keep him, if not we need to look elsewhere, We definatley need a center, no matter where we get him from.

D Line: Griffin is a stud who has proved everybody who doubted him wrong. We found a hidden gem in the in Salavea.
We need to keep wynn, and drop Daniels. Add a speed rusher, some how.

Linebacker: Nothing to stay, we're stacked. next topic.

Corners. We need a 4th and 5th corner for depth, Smoot and Springs are THE BEST TANDEM IN THE LEAGUE!!

Saftey: Bowen, Clark, and Lott all fit very well in this league. Sean Taylor is the most physicaly gifted player in the NFL. I can't think of ne player who is both bigger and faster than him.

K/P. Are set, Hall's great. Tupa's great. Don't mess with a great combination.

KR. Figure something out here I like Morton but he is taking up a lot of money. Thrash has been OK. Betts is not a KR.

Coaching: Don't change a thing.

Fromt office: Find a GM and fire Cerrato. That way can get some consistency. If possible find a way to get Bobby Bethard back. If not someone else will do.

O line: Samuels...I dont know what to say. Maybe he needs some peolpe around him to make him shine. He was average this year. Dockery needs to be fired cus he has no passion from what I've seen. We need a center. We need a ROOKIE R/T to learn under the great Jansen! They need to be quick on their feet so Portis can run like he knows how and so we can stop trying to turn our Ferrari into a Sherman Tank.

If you can't see the improvement Ramsey has made in contrast to last year then you are not only blind but stupid also. Now his improvement isn't spectacular but that isn't his fault. The man has hardly played this season, imagine how much better he'd be if we would have started from the get go! He's not a baby like most of you make him out to be. OMG PATRICK GOT SACKED, LETS DRY HIS EYES! He's a grown man who has gone out there and done good by us. I like him as our QB and I've been saying that since week 3!

WR's: Coles needs to be benched until he's 100%. Gardener needs to be cut. I don't care how much PROMISE he has, Westbrook has promise too, some people don't acheive. Plus Im sick of looking at this earring.

D-line: We need a pass rusher, and maybe a big DT. We need to get some push without blitzing! That way we don't KEEP GETTING CONVERTED ON WHEN ITS 3RD DOWN WITH DUMP PASSES!

I do see improvement. But I also see mistakes. I think that he the tangibles. The only things I question is his accuracy and decision making.

It's a lot better than Brunnell. I question his accuracy, arm strength, desicion making, pocket presence, toughness, intellegence wheter or not he's throwing with the arm he is supposed to (like in your sig.) And whether he was drinking before he arrived at the game.

i agree 100% on blowing up the tight end spot. thats exactly who i was thinking Gibbs will want to draft...Heath Miller.....he's his kind of guy and makes great plays, catches and blocks.

we all know how much Joe wanted a TE in this years draft...so, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we draft Miller...maybe even in the 1st round.

the TE spot is extremely important for Gibb's offense to work....with Heath and Cooley....and i say keep Sellers too, this will open up a lot more options.

i mean....what TE threat do we have to throw to right now? look whats happening with Cooley. imagine a day like Cooley had against the Steelers times 2(Heath being the second guy).....all of a sudden....now wide recievers are getting less coverage...and...an even better running game.

in Gibbs system....the TE creates everything.....it all depends on what and how that TE can perform. I can't wait to see Heath Miller in Redskin's uniform next season!!

heath miller would be a kick ass TE to have.

Drafting Heath Miller would be a mistake because we will likely have a top 10 pick and Miller is not a top ten pick. We dont have a 2nd rounder and I doubt he'd drop there anyway
