Comcast Sports Net reported that Mike Barrow is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Cincy. I hope he actually plays instead of being gradually downgraded as the week goes on. I hope he does well if he plays.
Also, did anyone catch Kelli Johnson ask Brunell if he was disappointing at the lack of chances to pass in the second half? (Only 2 were thrown) He started off his answer by saying: "Well, based on how I... how well our defense was playing and how our special teams was making plays..."
Man, Brunell almost blamed himself for our offense's lack of a passing game. I started cracking up because he almost started to blush and had to immediately think of a new response to the question.
Well, at least we know that HE knows he sucks!

If Barrow doesn't play this week, they should seriouly consider shutting him down... this has gone on too long!! If he plays, I hope he does well though - he's been a great player in the past.
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.
Linebacker Mike Barrow, who has yet to play this season because of a knee tendon problem, again was listed as questionable and his ability to play likely will be determined Sunday morning.
The Post said he is questionable. That's very disappointing. I will go out on a limb and say he'll sit out Sunday since it will be that long until he makes a decision.
He goes out on the field before every game in practice clothes to see if he can play and he goes in the locker and comes back out in street clothes. I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am sure he is as disappointed as anyone about not playing, but the "D" is doing so well that I hope we don't put him in as a starter, rather bring him in to spell Pierce. Don't try to fix what ain't broke.
"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son." - Dean Wormer
Considering how well Pierce is playing, and Barrows (I'm assuming) lack of game-shape conditioning, would he even be considered an upgrade at the position??? I think he should sit, on IR, but, if the coaches see something that we have not yet and say he can go, then bring on Barrow!!!
1) Why put him on the IR HALF-WAY through the season and negate any possibility of him playing? We have a 53 man roster, plus the practice squad... but ONLY 45 of them can dress for every game... so there's not much harm in him being one of the inactive players.
2) he makes a fair chunk of change... and MOST of that cap hit for this year is in the pro-rated signing bonus portion... which the Redskins are going to eat regardless... so again, why put him on the IR and have no significant return on the pay that you are going to shell out anyway.
3) Whether he upgrades Pierce or not does not fully balance the equation. When Barrow CAN play, he can either spell for Pierce on sure running downs (3rd and short)... and... if he is effective when he returns... Pierce is a better player than Lemar Marshall... and in my mind... a LB corps of Pierce, Barrow and Marcus Washington, is an upgrade from Marshall, Pierce and Washington. Until Lavar is able to return... it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a LB the caliber of Barrow available to use.
I'm sure the Redskins ARE reaching the point where they will prefer to use the roster spot more effectively, and I'm sure that if a significant upgrade was available to them at ANY position, they would exercise IR route for Barrow if there were deemed no better alternatives. I'm sure they have their eye on LaVar's situation and apply it DIRECTLY to Barrow's situation. If Lavar were healthy, Barrow may have already been sat down... but as long as Lavar's on the sidelines... they can't afford to just squander a possible viable alternative.
My 2 Cents
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
Linebacker Mike Barrow (knee) did not practice yesterday and was declared out for tomorrow's game against Cincinnati. There remains no timetable on Barrow's return from the acute tendinitis that has sidelined him all season.
I was hoping to see him play but I we're just going to continue to take it one week at a time.
