Defensive MVP at Halfway Point

Post by Smithian »

Your defensive MVP at halfway point?

Please don't put Gregg Williams as Other.

They've all played equally well but Griffin has been a great addition to our line. He has been a powerhouse and causes a lot of pressure, which I like to see.

I pick Griffin. Washington is effective but would be alot better with Lavar in there.

His first two game he was getting at the QB much better than he has in the last five weeks.

Blocking him is a teams priority. Just think if we had LA on the opposite side.

OH man why is this list missing Pierce? Wynn?? Heck I even think after this week maybe Clark and Marshall earned a spot on this list. LOL Ok I have to say Griffin, but they've all stepped up.

yes Cornelius has been great, but what about Antonio Pierce? this guy has picked up his game man! he gets my MVP vote, not just on Defense, but out of the whole team.

I voted Griffin, but if I coulda, I would made it a 3 way tie between Smoot, Pierce and Griffin. This defense is so successful, because we stop the run very effectively. Hence my Griffin vote. Of the 3, he's the MVP of stopping the run.

Heck, you could probably make a case for almost all of the starters though lol.

Springs has filled in very well. I voted Springs. But Griffin makes a very close second.

From the little I have seen I think Cornelius Griffen.

The man has been a monster against the run

Besides if he continues to dominate we can have the PA announcer introduce him as Corneeeeeeeeeelius just like the sixers used Joooooolius for Dr J

It's Griffen for me. With his addition all the problems from last years D have vanished. That is stopping the run up the middle. He has also givin the Skin's a pass rush up the middle which is a bonus not even the Skin's expected.

Smoot by a hair over Griffin. I love Griffin and he is having an all pro year. But Smoot has filled in where Champ left off and improved Champ's play. Smoot's defense and physical play (as well as Springs) has allowed GW to blitz more often without getting burned.

Griffin has been the most dominant defensive tackle in all of football. He's disrupted offenses, caused havoc in the backfield, and been a huge bolster in anchoring our top ranked run-stopping group. He's also getting pressure, and has tallied 4 sacks in the past three games, not too shabby for a DT.

He is the unquestioned MVP, and the reason our defense is at the top of the heap in all of football. The other guys have been nothing short of terrific, but Griffin should've been voted unanimously.

I hope Griffin gets to the pro bowl. . . .

I wish I could vote for both of the CB's. My vote was for Springs, but my vote is for both corners. They took a shoddy D from last year, and turned it into a scary, dominating machine. No question that Smoot has become a solid leader on this team.
Have no fear, Moss will make it happen.

Sorry guys, I thought I put down a "Other" option. Guess I forgot to press add option.
