will our team stay together?

You have to wonder about the players mental state at this point, you have to know that inside some, if not many of the players are against the idea of leaving Brunell in there when most of them who played with Ramsey last year know what he is capable of doing. Will they want to stay here for another year after we have the year it looks like we are about to have? You know that they are asking themselves why? why not make the change when you can clearly see that Brunell isn't cutting it? WE ARE LOSING!!!!!!!
We need to make the change, or risk losing our players loyalty. What do you think.

I'm thinking Joe is weeding out those cats that will jump ship (flip-flop, if you will -- in the spirit of the election :wink:

) when the going gets tough. He will have HIS guys playing for him by the end of the year, and most certainly during the remainder of his tenure as coach.

The 2-5 hole we're in is a difficult test, and few teams can dig out of it to salvage respectability. Green Bay has come back from 1-4, and KC seems to be fighting still, despite a weak start. The positive from this slump we're going through can only be the rise of the "core Redskins" Joe is looking for. Remember: "...suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

Kind of hard to compare the 'Skins to two teams that average double the amount of points per game that we do...

It's more about the team's resolve. At 1-4, Brett Favre didn't call it a season, even though they were really stumbling. They rallied as a team and fought to get to .500. I'm hoping Joe can find the guys who will help him do that this year. Wins are wins, no matter how many points we score.

As fans, we need to be cautious, as weel. It was this fascination with points that led us to fire Marty in favor of Spurrier. Let's not let our fans dictate AGAIN the in-season/off-season moves of this organization. It would stink to see Joe go.

Its only going to take 1 incident between a defensive and offensive player to get it started.

Brunell should concede to Ramsey.

The hard part for the fans is it feels like we're wasting one of the best defenses in the NFL (and they could be even better by the end of the year)... with just a "middle of the road offense" we could've been 7-2 heading into the tough part of our schedule... it's frustrating to think that by the time our offense is decent, this defense might be gone...

I don't know if you guys have noticed but even the players are kind of pissed off a Brunell.

1. He was standing alone on the sidelines. The announcers pointed that out.
2. You can see the look on the players faces, Portis and Rod to name a few.
3. Patrick had his helmet on. What a tease :roll:

Patrick was also the first to celebrate with Brunell on Portis go ahead T.D. . Patrick is such a team player, He's supporting Brunell 110%. It's got to be a very awkward situation for him.

Yep I saw that, and Patrick over did it a bit.

I think we call that 'posturing.'
