A Fan's plea

Dear Coach Gibbs,
I have followed you from the glory days of skins football to racing and now back to football. Winning or losing I have never questioned you. But you must bench Brunell. The man is making horrible decisions and throws that are costing our team games. Our team is not a 2-5 team. They are better than that and you know it. Give Ramsey the shot, he deserves it after last season. He is a good quaterback. The season is pretty much down the tubes now. Let Ramsey play. I am offically starting the Brunell boycott!!!!! In closing, Coach Gibbs you've got to bench Brunell and then get rid of him or something in the offseason. Cause Ramsey is our Quaterback!!

Dear fan,

"I don't think it's about me," said Ramsey of the calls for him to play. "The second guy is always popular when nothing's going well. I don't support in any way what the fans were doing. Mark played his heart out. He played a good game. He deserves respect."
Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels, who allowed one of the four sacks of Brunell yesterday, also refused to join the anti-Brunell chorus.
"People want to blame Brunell for a lot of different things, but we all can play better, starting with the line," Samuels said. "He got hit quite a few times. It's not just one guy."

PS What does Joe and his players see in Brunell that still gives them any hope in him? This is beyond me.
