I'm finished!

Post by hkHog »

Enough already! I can't go through this anymore! You all can call me a fair weather fan if you want but I can't watch this anymore. It's not that I only root for a winner but rather that I'm such a huge fan that this season is really killing me. I spend so much time reading about the team, watching the games, and hoping and praying that this is going to send me over the edge. So now I'm just going to ignore not only the 'Skins but the entire NFL for at least a few games and maybe the rest of the season! This is just the most recent crushing defeat. Every Monday (or Tuesday) after the games I'm just in a foul mood and it affects my entire week.

I cannot believe that BS today. The 'Skins O played like crap and then the refs gave the game away again! That kind of $#@%@!*& is what really drives me crazy, I felt like smashing my TV!

This year is without a doubt the worst officiating I have ever seen, not only in the NFL, but in any major sport. Generally, the refs are decent but this year is another story all together. In EVERY game I have seen the officiating has been atrocious. Just a few questions:

1. Does the five yard chuck rule and pass interference not apply to Al Harris. I think he should have been flagged at least half a dozen times. What a joke!

2. Why do these rules not get applied in Clinton Portis's favor either? There have been numerous times this year where it's almost as if the guy covering him is allowed to tackle him before the ball gets there even if he is more than five yards down field. Even if he isn't, have the refs forgotten that pass interference can occur less than five yards from the line? Unbelievable! He was mugged on the pass that Gardner threw, how was that play not pass interference?

3. If a ball is uncatchable then there isn't pass interference. Why then did the Packer's get the ball on the 1 in the first half when Favre threw it away?

4. Have the refs forgotten about offensive pass interference? Has this rule just been dropped? No real examples from this game but I am shocked about what I have seen around the league!

5. How can you have a game plan if people don't even know where to line up? What's the deal with that?

6. I have stood up for Brunell all year but it's time to bench him. I don't care if we cut him, he stinks! At least let him get out of the pocket more, that's the only time he's at all effective.

Well, that's it. The NFL has REALLY screwed up with the new emphasis of the 5yd chuck rule! The referees obviously do not understand how to do their jobs now, it is absolutley terrible! The Redskins have been very unlucky but they have played even worse. We just cannot score. Well, I'm out. You guys can say I'm not a real fan but I'm not going to be reading the replies to this, or any thread for that matter for at least a few weeks. I'm done for now, I just can't take it anymore.

The Skins...down 20 to 7 with 10 min to go many of our fans headed out. We than came back to take the lead, but a Portis TD was called back for motion.

Actually, I am back but just for this one addition. I did watch all the way to the bitter end and it is not that I do not want to watch any more games but that I am going to FORCE myself NOT to watch at least the next few games. I am not giving up on the team. I still have optimism and great expectations but I just can't take this frustration and despair. I have always been there and still will be but I can't keep doing this week in and week out.

I don't want to sound to crazy... but I really think there is a conspiracy theory thing working against the Redskins... we get no favorable calls...

I really and truly think our owner is black balled by the other owners... a la Al Davis... the fix is on in most of our games... and the fix isn't our way...

This game and the Dallas game are prime examples....

and that stupid call at the end made me lose my fantasy game this week... that was like 10.5 points for portis... ouch.....

i'm out....
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

Do yourself and more importantly, The Redskins, a BIG favor and make it a permanent departure.

Good luck, and enjoy whatever bandwagon you're going to jump on.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!
