With the exception of 1948, every time the Redskins have won a game the Sunday before an election the incumbent has remainned in office.
When they lose, a new president is sworn in.
Please Brett, do your duty for the future of mankind !
1948 was no exception...
Oct. 31, 1948: The home team Redskins trounced the Boston Yanks 59-21 in Washington. On Nov. 2, 1948 Harry Truman, who moved into the presidency when Roosevelt died, upset the favored New York Governor Dewey.
I want the Redskins to win this game no matter what. It's been 25 years since the Packers have been to our territory. I'd like to see the Redskins to win at home after the previous games we've played against the Packers. I truly believe that the Redskins will win the game. If not, I'll still be a Redskins fan win, lose, or draw. Hail to the Redskins.
You are in the UK you don't get a vote about what happens here ferryrich. So just cheer on the Redskins and let us worry about the election. UGGGHHHHH WHo decided to entertwine these two things. I don't want political football, I just want football!!! Enough threads about this already.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:
Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"
Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Being IN the UK doesn't mean being OF the UK.
Still, apologies for kicking up old news. I had a look around as usual and didn't find it. I've since noticed it in other areas.
