5 things i think so far...

Post by tokyoskins »

1) should we have called the saints in the offseason about a champ for deuce trade? we know how desparate they were for CBs (they got mckenzie from GB). we prob could have kept our 2nd round pick, and the saints could have drafted stephen jackson (mark my words: parcells will deeply regret passing over him!). deuce seems much more like a gibbs type back.

2) we have lost 2 games to trick plays. that fake reverse punt return felt like someone kicking me in the nuts with an army boot.

3) why is jon jensen watching games from the press box? shouldnt he be on the sidelines so he can give tips to guys during games, etc? especially against teams/players he is familiar with? i know it hurts him to just stand and watch but i gotta believe he can fire them up, help out, etc.

4) should sean taylor be used to blitz like ed reed? we all know he is faster than bowen and the other safeties that have been used to blitz so far and also hits harder. it would seem leaving him in coverage is the greater risk.

5)not having D McCants in the red zone is hurting the offense in my opinion. no way a safety or nickelback can cover him down near the goal line. just lob it up to him. why wont the man practice better? then he would play!!

No offense but woulda coulda shoulda, theres nothing we can do about this now.

It wouldn't have been ran back of people stayed in their lanes like they are supposed to. Play your position people.

3) why is jon jensen watching games from the press box? shouldnt he be on the sidelines so he can give tips to guys during games, etc? especially against teams/players he is familiar with? i know it hurts him to just stand and watch but i gotta believe he can fire them up, help out, etc.

That 3+ million dollar signing bonus should be encouragement enough. I dont know what else this over paid chumps need to get excited.

4) should sean taylor be used to blitz like ed reed? we all know he is faster than bowen and the other safeties that have been used to blitz so far and also hits harder. it would seem leaving him in coverage is the greater risk.

His job 1st and foremost is to learn to cover. Blitzing is not the job of a safety. His job is to provide over the top support for the CB's. Blitzing is a plus, he'll have time to learn the nuances of that. He needs to learn how to not get beat deep 1st. You learn by doing.

5)not having D McCants in the red zone is hurting the offense in my opinion. no way a safety or nickelback can cover him down near the goal line. just lob it up to him. why wont the man practice better? then he would play!!

I don't any of us know the real reason for his abscence. Whatever it is it must be jusitified I'd assume. Regardless how often do we make it to the red zone anyway?

I will stay with C. Portis. Thank you very much. It is early yet to say anything like that.

Discipline, Discipline, Discipline!!!

He is very frustrated by his injury and inability to play. He is talking and encouraging people during the week. He does not and should not coach. That is some other well known people's job.

CLL got it right AGAIN. Do not count Sean out though. We have not seen the entire defense scheme yet. I like him in the backfield and helping against the run. But things can change in different packages...

Apparently, seating a player for a while does wonders to improve his attitude.

You get a little time to think. The bench has been a great source of inspiration to many players in the past. You can become more disciplined and humble, or else you stay where youa are to think about it a little further...

This is a Gibbs team. Sometimes a bitof tough love works. 8)
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
