Pet Peeves: Ray Lewis Being Mic'd Up

Post by DieselFan »

A couple of pet peeves:

(1) Was anyone else sick and tired of hearing Ray Lewis mic'd up. Every chance they got...it was, "Let's listen to what Ray Lewis said on the play."

I was just waiting for halftime to get over so the announcers could go to "let's hear what Ray Lewis had to say as he took his halftime piss."

(2) Secondly, is anyone else annoyed when they show that overhead cam shot for live action plays? I don't mind it on the replay to give us another look, but it drives me nuts when they don't switch the camera angle back when they play is live. They didn't overuse it this game so much...but in the past few games they were orgasm'ng over the damn thing.

Man, I hate when Ray Lewis is mic'd up.

Commentator: "Jamal Lewis lines up as Tailback in the I formation. Boller is letting the clock sind down. Lets get Ray Lewis' reaction to the Ravens winding the clock down."

Ray Lewis: "Say Sho Nuff!"

the Ravens: "Sho Nuff!"

Commentator: "Well, there you go folks...Sho Nuff it is.......Jamal Lewis runs off anoth 8 yards and he's coming off the field. Lets hear Ray Lewis reaction to Jamal Lewis coming off the field."

Ray Lewis: "Who's House!?!?"

The Ravens: "Run's House!!!"

Ray Lewis: "Who's House!?!?"

True. Its like listening to an UnderArmour commercial for three hours. I like Ray Lewis just fine, but how about mic'ing up Kyle Boller for a change?

I was a little pissed as well and darn glad you all noticed it as well. I was wondering why he was miked and not a Redskin. It was the Redskins home game....wasn't it? usually they mike up the best player on the home team. what happened? I know Lavar was out but why not someone else. Heck I would have enjoyed Taylor miked better. Or Coach Gibbs so I could understand why he was calling the plays he was calling. Why not Portis or Coles? Heck they could have miked up "Leon" from the commercials and have liked it better.lol

I so agree!

Things that we have seen way too much of:

1. Ray Lewis miked up.
2. Peyton and Marvin running through the passing tree before each game.
3. Bill Parcells' press conference.
4. How Donovan and Terrell just love each other.

I tell ya, when the networks latch on to something, they really latch on to it.

Or:
5. How Peyton and Marvin don't even have to audible to each other. The just give each other a 'Look' and change the play

6. John Madden talking about (insert RB name here) running 'downhill'.

What a bunch of garbage!

Commentary isn't meant for anyone who's spent more than one year watching football.

I'm impressed. I think thats the first time I have ever seen a post questioning someone's intelligence that didn't include numerous spelling errors.

I can't agree more...I'm tired of hearing ray mic'd up and I'm tired of hearing announcers tout the greatness of every player who touches the football or makes a tackle. I mean deion is old news and they spent ten minutes on him after a meaningless interception which ended up being a boon for the Skins. It was better than a punt and put the Raven's Offense on the field. If deion was truly an intelligent player he would have knocked the pass down and given special teams a chance to make a TD. Btw, I watched the game while hitting the mute button frequently.

The people I feel for the most, however, are the Raven's fans. They actually have to listen to the sweet eloquence of Ray week in and week out.
She turned me into a newt! ...I got better.
