never too early to start positioning one's self for the 2005 draft. That Orton kid from Purdue could be your answer.

what sucks is that the easiest part of our schedule is over, we already played tamapa bay, cleveland, and the giants and we are 1-3, or should i make that 1-4 if we dont get our act together because if we play like this next week against Ray Lewis and company, we are done.

I know it sounds negative when I say we suck, but man this stinks. We look like a broken record every week, doing the same stupid crap. Whenever we get the ball on our own 15 or 20 yard line, I get nervous. It's like I'm praying "don't turn it over here". We turn the ball over in the other team's red zone all the time. It's like clockwork.
I feel bad for Gibbs because he was a nervous wreck on the sidelines after we turned the ball over. He was shaking. Like I said earlier, I thought we would go 10-6. Now with each week going by, that's slowly turning into 8-8 or worse. We keep losing games we should win. I guess I can handle going 8-8 this season if we could at least win every other game. It sucks going weeks in a row losing.

you can handle 8-8?
i think i'd feel pretty lucky to come up with 8-8. we looked pathetic. it was humiliating to have to stand in a bar while giants fans, fresh of their win in Green Bay, sang hail to redskins as time ran out on us after that fumble. they'd better get their act together, or we're looking at more like 5-11. looks pretty familiar.

Next time they sing "Hail to the Redskins".... stand up and sing it with them... even if we lost... First it will show them their little "HA-HA!" party isn't bothering you... and when we do start winning... You can stand up and sing it and ask them to join in for old times sake (hopefully it's when we're playing them)

As much as I'd love for a divisional opponent to be a laughing stock, that honor is being fought for by the Chiefs, Dolphins and 49ers right now.

This ship isn't getting righted this season...we're going to have to wait until next year. Sorry guys, but it's true. We need to keep losing to get a great draft pick or picks.
So we're throwing in the towel 4 games into the season?

I mean New England started off 2-2 last year... That's only one game back from where we are right now... They looked like crap at the beginning of the year... so did philly... I'm not saying we're as good as those to teams... but I wouldn't give up just yet.... anything can happen....

Yes BTP, my towel is officially in. I don't care that we are only four games in...we look awful. I was at the game and we couldn't do anything. The Browns knew we were going to TRY to run and stopped us. They also knew that Brunell's tank is just about empty, so they could afford to focus on the run. Why Brunell STARES at his intended target I'll never know. If the Browns can beat us easily, so can anyone in the league. We need to get Ramsey ready for next year. Put down the clipboard and get in there Patrick!
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

Our special teams suck too. Hall and Tupa are good. I'm refering to our abysmal tackling. Every team we play has great kick returns. It gives them great field position. Even if they don't score and have to punt, we end up with poor field position. We always seem to be in bad field position. It's like we're in a deep hole that we can't get out of. Have we even had a good kick return yet?

I do remember a man by the name of Marty who did take an 0-5 team, and place back into 5-5. If he can do it, I'm sure I can still keep my faith in (even though the patience is wearing thin.) I'm going to start predicting the opponents now just to hopefully reverse. Also, do remember this is the same guy who also started 0-5, and won a Super Bowl (despite that stupid setback with the lockout) his next year. Maybe Ramsey is the next Tom Brady, who knows.

Well said. The team is making mistakes but still playing hard. Good things will happen. I'm still in the optimistic boat with BTP and others; and I don't see any reason to even begin doubting whether or not Gibbs is going to be the man to fix this team up. The media certainly isn't going to give him any credit, so someone has to--why not continue to be a good fan in bad times? The thought of Ray Lewis & co. beating us is already giving me heartache, so I really think that we can win this game this week. If not, then I bet next week is our turning point.
You've gotta believe, in my opinion, to survive.

I honestly wish I could see what you guys see in Ramsey. I think Ramsey is a back-up quality QB with a strong arm. Unfortunatly that strong arm doesn't translate to accurate passing and management skills. I don't ever see him being a SB QB. I'm sorry but that's how I feel. I think it's unfair that Brunell is always the fall guy on this team. Portis's fumble is what killed us today. But can we really blame Portis. Most of the time he has no holes to run through.

We all have to remember that Coach Gibbs inherited a bad football team and the fact he has been out of football for 10 or so years hasn't helped. He seems alittle rusty.
Anyone remember his 1st stint as Redskin coach?
Everyone wanted to run him out of town, glad he stayed.
Keep the faith things will get better.
Side note I predicted the Skins would be 7-9 this year.
I still stand by that.
