NOPE

This is and will be a PS2 exclusive till the 5th installment is released. That version will most likely be on the next generation PS.

If MS does get a port, it won't be till this time next year. One has not been announced yet.

Why do you say that? With everything thats happening in this game at once the graphics are going to take a hit. It would look a bit better on the Xbox if they'd make it to take advantage of its strengths, but they wouldn't make as much money.

If by "a bit better" you mean "a lot better" I completely agree. I'm not sure the PS2 can even match the purple lunchbox poly for poly.

I could be wrong but I like to read the articles comparing the 3 systems. Of course the Xbox is the most powerful. The Cube 2nd, and the Ps2 last. The only thing that the Cube has an advanatage over the PS2 in is textures. The Xbox is overall better than the 2. Now I do believe that the PS2 can push more raw polygons than the Xbox but since it doesn't have a dedicated GPU and only 4 MB of Vram for textures it doesn't mean jack.

Also the PS2 was out for a year or two before the Flipper/Cube and the Box so its not really a fair comparision because we all know how quickly technology changes and how the price of RAM and other components can drop significantly so it could be added in.

I do agree with you that the PS2 is the weakest but one game in particular shows that the artistic design of developers can easily out do technical prowness.

The 1st picture is from Grand Turismo 4. The 2nd from a new game called Forza for the Xbox. Its amazing how GT4 runs at 60fps, while Forza only runs at 30fps and doesn't look as good. Is it the Box or the developer, Im not sure but the Box's other "GT killer" ran at 30fps too so it makes me lean towards the former.

Regardless I own both the Xbox and the Ps2. I had the Ps2 at launch and the Xbox for 6 months now. The Xbox is very powerful but it was almost wasted because many of the Xbox games dont take full advantage of its power. I wish that more developers would have because when they do, the games are breath taking.

Its undeniable that the Xbox is graphically surperior. They have a strong Holiday release schedule in Halo 2. But they are no where as popular as the Ps2. In the other thread you can see the figures I posted. Sony has close to if not 60% of the market locked down.

In some games that is true. But like I said in an earlier post that the artistic design of the developer takes presecedence and can makes an inferior system look better.

After looking at Xbox holiday lineup, it looks pretty weak. I WILL BE BUYING OUTRUN 2 THOUGH!!! Have you played that in the arcade? They have one at the movie theatre at white marsh, it is the best arcade style racing game I've played. Burnout 3 comes close but wasn't released in the arcades.

all i was saying is with time and a few great solid titles under it belt the X-BOX will be right there with it ...if they can land a few more have to have games .....

You are right but I think MS did a good job as the new guy on the block this generation.

Sony will have its hands full for sure during the next generation.

Im not really into RPG's even though I enjoyed Fable. I may give it a look tho. Thanks for the heads up.
