Turns out that the consulting work done by Joe Bugel and Foge Fazio for the slumping Washington Redskins, the initial report termed "overstated" by one team official, was just a one-day gig spent analyzing videotape Tuesday and submitting suggestions.
One newspaper outlet reported Monday that Bugel had rejoined the Redskins as an offensive consultant.
"Foge spent maybe five hours here [at the team's complex] and he is gone already," Redskins vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato told ESPN.com. "Joe Bugel came in this morning, is watching film, and is out of here by evening.
"Look, we're not playing well and we're in a bye week, so we figured we would have two knowledgeable guys come in and look at us and see if they had any recommendations. It was nothing more than that," Cerrato said.
