Horse on the Dulles Toll Road

Post by JansenFan »

On my way home last night, I heard the traffic reporter talking about an overturned vehicle on the Dulles Toll Road. As it turns out, the vehicle was a truck pulling a horse trailer, and one of the horses got out and was running all over one of the busiest roads in the area.

I have heard of and seen a lot of weird things cause traffic delays, but that one has got to take the cake.

I couldn't find a link this morning, but if I do I will be sure to post it. How about you people? Got any weird traffic stories like this one?

I just thought of a couple of interesting animal stories to add.....first of all, I hit a chicken on the way to work the other day. The piece of crap broke my head light....also, NikiH and I saw a bear run into the side of a moving vehicle. The guy slammed on the brakes and then hit the gas. About a mile down the road he stopped to check it out. I pulled up alongside and said, "Excuse me, but was that a bear?" This old guy was a little shaken but the bear didn't do any damage. That's another one you don't see to often.

Wow, those are some wacky stories. I've never really had an animal encounter on the road. That's some funny stuff.

Not traffic - but car related

I was sitting in the car eating lunch earlier this week. I was reading the paper when I heard this tapping noise. Looked up and there was a duck sitting on the front of my car trying to eat the windscreen wipers
