Can Kimrin be on our PS?

Post by NikiH »

Is Kimrin eligable for the Practice Squad? He is a darn good kicker and having him around may not be a bad thing. He'd have to clear waivers first, which might not happen.

and any other team can claim him off our PS too Niki - you can't protect the players you put on there

Oh well. I just remember our kicker hell years back. I don't want to go through that again.

amen sister Niki - I think it is a good thought, but with him on the PS we would likely see him go poof the first week someone loses a starting kicker, ya know :)

I'll check his bio, but I don't believe he's played enough to be ineligible.

There's really no advantage to PSing a kicker, and I've never seen a kicker/punter make a PS, but there's always a first. You never know.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

I was just thinking with an expanded practice squad, using one of those positions to secure a guy who could so obviously just step in and do the job, would be a good idea.

I could swear I read something recently about him practicing as a blocker on special teams. Did he get action in that capacity tonight? (It's so hard to see anything the announcers don't point out on tv.)
