So how bad are the new obstructed view seats at Fedex?
Anyone have firsthand information?
Not firsthand, but I heard they installed plasma TV's and speakers so you can watch the game...in other words, pay for what you could do at home, except you also get to be part of the crowd noise but you always will cheer 5 seconds after the rest of the stadium because of the "delay".
Imagine that, you pay $80 for a seat behind a slab of concrete, and youre watching the plasma TV and the Skins are driving down the field and right when the ball is snapped you hear the entire stadium errupt in cheers because the play actually finished before you saw it on TV.
Sounds like a great time.

does anyone know which sections those are? I have tickets to the skins-bengals game at section 228 row 23 and I'm worried those might be the ones- though i used the seatview thing and they seemed fine before I bought them (on ebay)

Washington Redskins fans know and understand football. They want good football. Expectations here are very, very high. That's good.

That would be an obstructed view, I'm almost sure of it. The seat view is just from the section, not from the actual seat. I had tickets for Section 224 Row 23 seats 23 and 24 for the home preseason game against the Panthers. That's the very last row, and they look out over the concourse. That put me on the visitors site at about the 10 yard line with a massive concrete column blocking my view of most of the red zone to my right.
The TVs aren't plasma, they are flat-screen CRTs (maybe Trinitron). I don't know what they show on them during the game, because we moved down to unobstructed seats that were empty, but I think it is the same as the video monitor next to the scoreboard, since you can't see either monitor from those seats.

thanks for the tip cville- I will probably try to take a look at the seats during the tampa game (which i have other tickets to) and maybe try to get new ones if they really a bad. If Fedex Field people try not to let me see my seats (which im sure they will!) I'll probaly go with your advice and sell 'em. Thanks

This guy's selling tickets one row infront of you, and this is what he has in his description:
These seats are in the lower level Section 228, row 22 (these seats are part of the new seats added to FedEx Field and are limited view seats - the seats are under cover directly below the Club Level (weather won't be a problem). There are four flat screen television sets and speakers hanging from the ceiling in this section).
Sorry to hear, but it sounds like you got screwed.... sell them why you can!!!
If your still interested in the bengals game my brother has tickets he's trying to get rid of for that game & the Vikings game....3 seats in Section 117 – 10 Rows up from the field on the end of the aisle. The total at-cost price for a GREEN Parking Pass and 3 tickets is $283.00. PM me if your interested.
