Cards Make A Surprising Cut (To me at least)

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cards Make A Surprising Cut (To me at least)

Post by Jake »

The Cardinals today announced that the team has released the following 10 players: linebacker Vince Alexander, tight end Michael Banks, wide receiver Romby Bryant, cornerback Clarence Curry, wide receiver Bryan Gilmore, cornerback Jason Goss, wide receiver Jason McAddley, cornerback Tyrone Sanders, linebacker Rodney Thomas, and linebacker Michael Young.

Man, I thought they would keep Gilmore. I'm also sort of surprised to see McAddley go, too.

I Saw McAddley play once last year (don't ask me why I was watching a Cardinals game??) :hmm: and he looked pretty good. He was fast and got open.

I guess the only position the Cardinals are set at is the receiver position.
How many more sleeps until next season?

And safety. The combo of Adrian Wilson and Ifeanyi is a good one. And with Dexter Jackson as a backup, the safety's will have a good season.

They have a few good linebackers in Ronald McKinnon, Ray Thompson, Gerald Hayes, James Darling. and Karlos Dansby.

Why's Jackson a backup, he has a 4 mill a year contract, and he is pretty good.

Yeah, really....this guy is payed pretty well for his position. Sounds like another Larry Brown to me  (another Super Bowl MVP gone bad) :nana:
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

Denny Green made that move in mini-camp. He didn't see much from him so he designated him to backup. Maybe to put a fire under his butt.

Dexter Jackson has been underrated.

[quote="skin_to_the_bone"]Yeah, really....this guy is payed pretty well for his position. Sounds like another Larry Brown to me (another Super Bowl MVP gone bad) [quote]Dexter Jackon led the Cardinals in interceptions last year with 6 interceptions, a career high behind a horrible Cardinals front 7 with his CBs being David "No-Mark" Barret and Renaldo Hill with his SS next to him being bust-like Adrian Wilson.

His main pass rush makers our's look above average... Calvin Pace was halfway workable early then gave up. Those linebckers didn't scare anyone.
