J. Jones on ESPN

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

J. Jones on ESPN

Post by gambit187 »

WOW did you Redskin fans see Jones running on ESPN oh i guess not, because we picked the wrong RB. Hey how is Portis doing so far this Preseason, I know it does not count but he has been looking kinda rough. :)

I'd still take Portis, a proven beast of a runner, over your guy. That's a no-brainer.

I'd even take Portis at the moment and I'm probably the biggest Jones homer you'll ever meet.

Take the proven over potential every time.

None of it means squat yet though... I'm sure like the Skins, the Cowboys aren't even running their offensive packages yet. It's practice time... offenses have a tendency of changing drastically once it's for keeps. I mean... even SOS looked good in pre-season. :lowblow:

I myself am not too worried about Clinton Portis. I think he'll somehow manage to find his stride before game 1... the dude's a player.

Oh, and Eddie George looked great too... if you're a Redskin fan.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

IT'S THE PRESEASON... OH MY GOD, LET'S PANIC.

Actually the running back you should have taken looked a whole lot better. Stephen Jackson had 15 carries for 73 yards.

Jones looked OK, and Eddie George was horrible. I wish I could make a lot out of this, but its only preseason.

It is OK to get excited when a player is domimnating in pre season, and if jones does that you have every right to shout it out to the world, but for right now he was on no better, yet no worse than I expected.

Portis has had 1500 yards the past 2 seasons, becoming the 3rd player in league history to do so. This is during the regular season, I don't care about what he does in the pre season.

Steven Jackson had a better game really

15 for 73 or 4.86 per carrier

Juluis Jones 8 for 56 or 7.00 yards per carry. OK if you say so. Wow

Hailskin no one said Jones was god, I just mention that he had one helluva fist game. As a matter of fact it was ESPN THAT I GOT THE INFO FROM. All be it , that it was agianst 2nd and 3rd team defense, He was running behind third team o-line, not Allen and Adams. Now if you wanna get snippy , what happened to the Great Clinton Portis running behind the Skins 1st offensive line the last two weeks. Yeah Yeah say it was a bland offense, shoot everyone is running a bland offense.
