Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Comcast Signs Agreement With NFL Network

Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA - Comcast Corp., aiming to strengthen the offerings on its high-end digital cable service, has signed a multiyear agreement with the NFL Network.

Beginning this month, NFL Network will be added to Comcast's lineup for most of the cable giant's 8 million digital cable customers. The network's content also will be available via Comcast's video-on-demand service.

NFL Network's programming includes preseason games, NFL Europe League games and various NFL analysis and talk programs.

Philadelphia-based Comcast is the nation's largest cable company. Last month, it signed an agreement to make College Sports Television available on its cable systems.

Comcast did not give specifics on the value or the duration of the contract.

Shares in Comcast rose 38 cents to close at $26.86 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
