Where's Gibby ?
Where's my strong armed Arab, anyway ? Haven't seen nor heard anything about him.
Is he on the outs, here ?

For some reason, this is the second straight preaseason where he is getting NO chance at all. I was yelling for him to get put in the game but to no avail. IMO (besides the Brunell pass to D-Mac) all of our QB's looked like crap. I am not happy with their performance. Brunell overthrew receivers like he did at camp.

I thought that Brunell's passes looked like they had been shot out of a cannon. During training camp, I never saw that velocity on his passes. I thought a few receivers dropped passes on him.
Patrick I believe is suffering from the remnants of the beatings that he took last year. He seems to be holding the ball a bit too long, which then throws off the timing of many plays. Hopefully he can shake this tendency.

I agree. Patrick is showing remnants of his beatings. He is not fully trusting the O-line yet and only about 2 times did he actually step up into the pocket to throw passes. It's still pre-season but he needs to simply calm down and relax and put faith in to the O-line. Perhaps rolling out will do him some good and give him confidense.

Montana, pay attention. This is all about you.
There is no way you can look at the ragged play of our quarterbacks and say "Well, we're set here." Brunell has looked listless on a cool 90% of his chances. Patrick looks like he's pushing too hard. Hasselbeck looks like game 1 was a fluke. Hamden (and that is how you spell his name), as a quarterback currently on roster, deserves every opportunity to go out there and see if he can get it done at this level. He looked good in Canada. He looked good last year. Why not let him go out there and throw it around a little ?
Who cares ? I care. Jake cares. Everybody who wants the Redskins to break out of this ten year slump should care. What if ?
What if he's the guy, man ?

I actually called the postgame show about this. My cell phone crapped out and stupid Charles Mann ignored the question, though I know he clearly heard it. Especially if we are considering trading Hasselbeck We need to see what Gibran can do. He has an awesome arm. I kept screaming for him at the game! As was Jackson, he loves him! Not so much for his football but for him being a good guy I think. Either way if we don't see him against the Dolphins I'm calling and giving Mann an earful for more then one reason!

Yup - we were definitely calling for him on Saturday. I want(ed) to see what he's got. I hope they give him a little playing time to shake things up a bit. The way the other 3 are playing, it can't hurt!
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

I heard your call, and the way Mann described your "crappy cell".

Why'd you refer to yourself as "Niki from DC"? I thought you were out in the good ol' 'burg. Anyway, your voice, sans the crappy line sounded great, but your whole question did NOT come through.

I want to see Gibby play as well. I want to see what he's got this year. He seems like a good, smart, kid, who could benefit from being coached by Joe.
Back and better than ever!
It was my FIL's cell phone. And they kept me on hold for so long. The guy answering the phones actually said he was saying I was from DC because it would be easier for Mann. How lame huh??

It would be fair to give him a shot, which I don't think he's really getting. They should either cut him now or give him the chance he deserves. I watched him over here in Europe when he played with the Amsterdam Admirals this past season. He wasn't too bad. (IMHO)
Maybe they're holding fire until a trade with Hasselbeck is resolved? They could probably even set up a 3 way trade with the Dolphins so that we can get Ogu out of it.
But what the heck do I know????
Have a better one!

Wow! How does Mann not know about Fredericksburg?? Anywho, good [dropped] call. Keep campaignin' for Gibby.
I hope he gets SOME PT this preseason.

PJIS I actually have been thinking that's their plan here. They want Hasselbeck marketable so we can actually get something good for him. So he's getting the majority of the play time. But come on, give this kid at aleast a few snaps!
Actually I'm not in Fredericksburg Redeemed. I'm close but not in that city! I guess I should have spoke up but I figured as long as I got my question in, what did it matter. If I only knew!

Are you in Spotsy? I grew up in Stafford (Garrisonville actually).
Ever been to Cards and Cones (it's an ice cream, deli, stationary and knick-knack store) on the corner of Princess Anne and William? Friends of ours own it.[/off topic]
